SD Gundam Over Galaxian....

Post by dave4shmups »

Interesting title to say the least! The only screen pic. I could find of this shmup is here:

So, is this game pretty much Galaxian with better graphics and Gundam characters?

It's pretty much Galaxian with worse graphics (horrible, pre-rendered, badly designed rubbish) and much worse gameplay.

You have a lock on feature if you sit in front of one of the enemies that fly down towards you and I think you get some sort of boss after every few stages. I can't remember as I've not played it in years. It's way easier than Galaxians too.

You can also check out PD Ultraman Invader which is equally bad if you prefer Ultraman and Space Invaders over Gundam and Galaxian.

Ok, well thanks for the info on these two little known PS1 shmups! They both definately sound like games to avoid, which is good to know.

Interesting. I'll add it to the "Definitive Playstation Shmups listing?" thread.

Thanks Turrican! :D

I wish there was a PSX Shooting Special, so footage of rare PSX shmups and non-shmups, such as the games on this website:

could be shown.
