I think it was discussed somewhere before, but I don't think it had it's own topic. Probably in a general "upcoming shmups" thread for E3 or whatever convention it was announced in.

I tried the PC/Steam version for a while and from what I remember it's rather mediocre IMHO.

The game is set for release on the PS Vita and PS4 on the 28th of April.

I for one will be downloading this for my favourite console, the Vita, day one, supposing the price isn't ridiculous. THE VITA NEEDS MORE SHMUPS!

So it's like Metal Hawk then, sort of.

Worried about the frame rate from the video, but it could just be the video itself - which was worthless and gave you almost zero information about the game after spending half the run time showing a 3d model in a hangar.

Yes, I have to agree, I too was p***ed that half the trailer was just some boring FMV. However, I've read the Vita version will be 60fps also.

BTW, I looked on your blog and found the articles, particularly the Styx one, great to read. That's a game I keep meaning to check out, what with me being a huge Tenchu fan, and this apparently playing very similarly to it.

I played a few levels of this.

It feels more like a very big arena shooter.
The controls are sluggish, because there's an upgrade path.
Enemies are sparse, slow ship makes avoiding their bullets hard.
The levels are WAY TOO LONG with many objectives and aimless flying for ages between them.
Frame rate seemed fine, if any frames were dropped I didn't notice them.

I doubt I will play it again.

Ah - so if you're playing it System11, it got a UK Vita release then? I'd totally missed this game.

Despite your less than glowing report, I'll give it a try.

No idea, fuck handhelds. I got it on PS4, although I bought it to take one for the team and find out.

Be respectful of other developers' time and effort. Treat others fairly and you will be treated fairly in return [...] Keep in mind not all shmup fans share the same tastes. There is room for much more than one kind of shmup in the world.
