Jesus H. Fucking Christ. Even after we agree on the Duo you keep chipping away. I can't even be bothered to read all that and although I'm just dying to reply back with things like "how the hell was Saur supposed to test the console if you didn't send the power supply?" or perhaps I mentioned the kicking of th ebox because the damage wasn't external, it was internal and with no external box damage, it's nigh-on impossible to make a claim with a courier, so I was trying to help you with that comment... but I won't. Although I just did. You're fucking sucking me in again!

How about you just return everything back in working form: step down transformer, power supply, box etc. and we'll just refund you for exactly what you paid if you provide me with an invoice. You want a refund, fine. But i want an invoice and you must return everything in working form. Signing off now.

This thread has turned into a long winded joke, nobody is interested anymore. Lee, I wish you all the best with your dealings on this.

This is about who did what and what was right and wrong, Lee. Each time you make a statement that was wrong or a lie I will challenge you.

As I said, it is all int he emails.

Any repair guy worth his weight would have all the tools and power supplies at his end. To me it simply does not matter what Saur had or did not have at his end - I was simply following what you yourself asked me to do and that is in the emails so check them.

We have determined that a Duo will be enough. I am not likely to be posting back to you a Transformer from Germany - what good would that do?

Still saying we ripped you off despite you having the opportunity to get a refund in the most part back in 2007. Well done. How about you just send everything back and get a full refund then and we can do it all by the book. You just don't know when to shut up and I think you enjoy trying to stick the boot in. Because of that I'm starting to wonder if you'll just say the replacement Duo is broken out of spite so you can stick the boot in further. Once again, it would be my word against yours. I've spoken to trading standards and believe me, I'm doing more than I have to here.

What? We all experience a deluge of antagonistic paranoia and get bored of the consequences? This matter should have been dealt with privately between you both and not dragged through the public domain. If anything you just wanted to stir the pot and cause as much grief as you could, your argument at times bordered on insanity.

Still I hope what Lee says is true and this matter can be brought to a close. It's highlighted some sore points in the community and I hope we can still see some Christmas cheer out of this.

I gave Lee a call and I have to say that me and him had a nice and civil conversation for about half an hour :D

As I said to Lee if me and him had have met in an Arcade back in the 80s we would have gotten on pretty well.

We had a bit of a chat about the Golden Era back in the 8 and 16 bit days.
Believe it or not but we were able to keep things civil and objective :D

We agree that we could well be similar characters and could end up at loggerheads.

We have made a deal between us that I will not discuss publicly as it is between me and Lee but I can tell you that we have managed to find a resolution.

I have to thank the Forum as there are some of you who have helped this situation.

I will now make a Donation of 30 Pounds to the Shmups Forum as a thank you and an apology.

I would also like to thank Skykid for taking the time to assist here and I will be contacting him personally and thanking him.

We can now put this all behind us and move on.

Many thanks,

Minty.

So basically after calling him an evil person who you would hound until the ends of the earth you actually found out, from having a level headed conversation with him, that he is an alright guy. All of this could have been avoided if mutual steps like this were taken at the start. I hope you will be apologising to Lee for dragging his business through the mud publicly.

Also I love the fact that you gave the current exchange rate for your donation, no doubt there will be issues about refunds and inflation in the future :D

As internet topics go it's been a boring one but I'm sure I'll be able to sleep easier tonight.

Actually, you're about the only person that doesn't seem to have read the emails. Maybe (probably not given your behavior) you've noticed that your supporters have fled the thread (other than the one you really shouldn't want) as you've continued to show your true colors.

Exactly: you wish to hold an opinion and make a judgement without doing the homework - lazy.

I do a lot of jostling, it seems.

I just read through everything I missed out on. It seems like there's been lot of unnecessary public mud slinging and again, the forum contingent seems to be picking sides based on demeanour rather than appraising the initial circumstances.

The demeanour and handling could certainly be better, IMO, but objectively speaking nothing has changed for me based on the original reasoning for disagreement. So I should mention Lee has done the right thing by closing the book on this - to his credit it has been a hell of a long time - but finding a resolution regardless is positive for his business. I'm happy to see no matter how long it's been, he's obviously willing to settle outstanding disputes.

Now let's all go home and drink a beer.
