BVM-20F1U standby mode question

I noticed that if I push the power button on the controller module that the BVM-20F1U enters standby mode. Is there any long term harm in leaving the BVM-20F1U on standby mode for long periods of time? I've been turning off the BVM with the power switch in the back but its just a pain having to reach behind the BvM to turn it off.
