Click_sticks old site
Hey, does anyone have the stuff from Clicks site? I'm looking for that old Tate t-shirt design in particular.

I still have the T Shirt after all these years, and it's held up remarkably well. I'd definitely buy another in another color... the key being it's a high quality shirt. Not some $5 bullshit.J2d wrote:Hey, does anyone have the stuff from Clicks site? I'm looking for that old Tate t-shirt design in particular.

Hey zinger! I still have mine too but it has seen better days so I mostly use it for special occasions nowadays. I believe CS shared a zip file with most of the stuff from the site when he shut it down, with the motive among many other things. I hope someone still has the file since I have no skills to remake the artwork =\

That's been 9 years by my clock... maybe 8. Sad thing is most people here these days will have a vague recollection of click-stick, at best.

Re: Click_sticks old site
His site was pretty short lived but for being run by one guy it did provide a lot of good content. I don't remember why things came to an end(loss of interest of course but it was probably more to it) and why I never really saw him afterwards but I hope he's doing great these days.
Re: Click_sticks old site
When I last talked with click_stick he had renounced his consumerist ways and moved to one of those self-sustaining hippie farms where they grow everything they eat and get broadband with a potato. I forget the name, but I saw a documentary about the exact one he went to. This was some years ago, so I'm not sure if he's still there, but I always suspected that he met a girl and maybe she turned him on to that lifestyle. Great guy, I hope he's doing well. (Still have my shirt, too!)

If you still remember the web address, have you tried the Wayback Machine?

Pictures doesn't always seem to save on it, but it has helped out a few times

CHECKPOINT!
Re: Click_sticks old site
I always love hearing names from the past.
As I'm something of a digital hoarder, I still have his entire site zipped/archived on a disc at home, which I'll look for later today. Do you want just the shirt image (hopefully it's there), or the whole archive? If I recall, I think it's around 400 megs, but I have the webspace to host it if that's what you're wanting.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that I checked the Wayback Machine shortly before posting this, and although there's a lot of click-stick.com available, I wasn't able to find the shirt. Maybe someone else had better luck?

Re: Click_sticks old site
This was the one with the Progear banner right, and large scans (for the time) of various Cave flyers, and maybe some VGM CD covers and listings? There was a small forum to it, but I don't remember seeing many posts. Sort of like a left-wing version of the Insomnia site, if you will.
This was the era of Cave PS2 ports to give a rough time frame, and the whole Sega exiting the console business nightmare. Who could've guessed, that the whole Japanese gaming industry as we knew it, would be in the state it's in now ten years on.
Still no Progear port AFAIK...

OK, as promised:

Here's another variant when the shirt was in its working phase:
I have to say, thanks for the trip down memory lane; and I'll always kick myself for never ordering one of these.

I regret not ordering one myself. This has been a nostalgic trip for me as well. I remember looking forward to updates on the website. If you do plan to host the archive I would love to see it.NRS wrote: I have to say, thanks for the trip down memory lane; and I'll always kick myself for never ordering one of these.
Thanks!

I feel a repressing on the horizon. To whomever does it: Don't use shitty fucking shirts! Half the reason this shirt was so dope is b/ it actually lasts. I wore the fuck out of mine and it's still okay.

Nine years and two days, to be exact. Fuck time.GaijinPunch wrote:That's been 9 years by my clock... maybe 8. Sad thing is most people here these days will have a vague recollection of click-stick, at best.
Wow. After giving that site a quick look, all I can say is good for him. Seriously. I've spent the better part of this year trying to get downsized, but in no way could I ever envision a completely fresh start like that. Incredible, and rather motivating.Frenetic wrote:"What ever happened to Click_stick?"

I'll try to get to that this weekend, give or take.Sparky wrote: I regret not ordering one myself. This has been a nostalgic trip for me as well. I remember looking forward to updates on the website. If you do plan to host the archive I would love to see it.

It's actually kind of funny this was brought up, since I've been working on getting a personal gaming site together for the past few months. The idea is an archival site of sorts, but I wasn't expecting to archive an entire site. That's what happens, man.

It's definitely worth showing to the new kids. I wouldn't mind another shirt either... my only game shirt.

Thanks a lot for the images NRS, I'd love it if you could upload the site rip too, just for the memories!NRS wrote:I always love hearing names from the past.

Huh, I think this is the guy I bought my ESP Ra.De. PCB from way back when (and still got it!). Lived in the same state as me, actually not too far away now that I think about it, and he was a nice fellow to deal with too iirc! Glad to hear he's doing well!Frenetic wrote:"What ever happened to Click_stick?"

Took a little longer than I had anticipated (thanks, life), but here you go, you old farts:

Man, even though I'm the one who uploaded it, it's actually somewhat surreal seeing this online again. In a complete state, I mean.
I had originally planned on doing some minor tweaks to a couple of links, as well as adding the final updates, but in the end I decided against that and keep it the way it was acquired. If you're wanting to see those last 2 updates, they're available thanks to the Internet Archive:
https://web.archive.org/web/20051129020 ... stick.com/
Everything should be well and functional, with the exception of the few obvious bits; links to some OST downloads, and his forum. At least, I think those are the only dead areas...
And I certainly have no problem hosting the site itself for posterity's sake, but if anyone wants the original .zip file (270 megs) for some strange obsessive reason, please let me know and I'll get a direct link to you.

Thanks NRS checking it out now, 15$ shipped for the t-shirt was a damn good deal, should have bought a couple.
I really need to hunt down one of those Rez vinyls..

Re: Click_sticks old site
I never use mine, and it's in good condition. If you want it, and if I can find it, I could give it to you J2d. It was actually a gift from a friend, but the size is a bit small for my taste, so I'd be happy to pass it on to someone else. I think the size is probably Medium (or maybe even Small?) , which usually works perfect for me, but there's something about the fit of this one in particular that feels slightly too tight.
SOUNDSHOCK
Re: Click_sticks old site
Keep it as a nice memory! I have used some site before to make a t-shirt and the quality seems fine so I'll just use them to make a new tate t-shirt.
