Any way to turn down the Green on a TV, from the inside?

OK, I have this Sharp X-Flat (I've been talking about it on here a bit lately), that I like. Has nice clean picture.

Well, it's green is out of control. I thought I had it figured out, by going into the service menu and working with all the color stuff. Pumping up the reds and blues. All that junk.

But Green is turned down as low as it can go by default. And by the time I can get rid of this green tint, the whites start looking red, greys start looking purple, and yellows start looking green.

Is there some way a technician could tone down the green from the inside of the system? I wouldn't dare, but I would look about to find someone. It would be worth it to me.

Usually on the neck board you'll find Red and Blue drive - will require taking the back off, reading about safety precautions etc. and know what you're about to attempt before you start. Don't touch the big red wire from the rubber suction cap on the back of the tube to where it joins the Flyback transformer - deadly voltage, you'll feel its magnetic field with your tools if you even get close to it.

The neck board is on the back of the tube, should be 2 potentiometers you can dial up to balance out the colour - try a few greyscale patterns, full screen white/red/blue/green etc.

I would need more information, or a "how to" vid, before I tried something like that.

Perhaps I can find a repairman? Is it hard to alter the colors? Or is it just a matter of safety? I know that you can get a nasty charge from that red cord.

Well, I was fiddling around inside of a CRT a while back, and got a mild shock.

Maybe it will be me.

"Died working on a TV". Such a sad way to go.
