Re: Extron...what's it for exactly?
Ya, I tried all the dip switches. I'm starting to suspect it's actually the ground pin on the power connector. I had a similar issue with my supergun when I built it. If I wired the ground pin from the power connector I got the exact same interference. Probably my house wiring with ground and neutral being at different potentials. I'm unsure though, I could try to disconnect the ground plug from the extron and see when I get home today.

I'll try it out. Thanks Bucko.BuckoA51 wrote:Might be worth changing sync polarity (especially for you spaceape).
Worth a shot anyway.
Is the thing you mention the first thing written in this pdf? http://media.extron.com/download/files/ ... xi_SUG.pdf

On my 201rxi, the sync polarity jumpers are inside the box. You have to remove a few screws, as well as nuts on the back by the vga connectors. Your manual should explain everything.

That's it yeah. I also found my 203rxi worked better with the XRGB3/DVDO Edge combo by changing the internal jumper to clamp sync timing to the sync tip. Worth a shot anyway.

Well it's really only since i added the Xselect i had issues with blackouts that couldn't be fixed by just moving the image up slightly using the centering controls. But what you mention might help with other sync incompatibilities. Thanks.BuckoA51 wrote:That's it yeah. Removed the ground pin one of my cables. No luck. It's the extron generating that interference =/.

Re: Extron...what's it for exactly?
Might be worth trying another interface as that's not a common problem with them.

Yeah a different one. I've noticed that some models behave differently to others.
