While I didn't build these, I did mod them.

I added LS-56-01s, seimitsu screw-ins, and custom plexis from Art at tek-innovations. I'm pretty happy with them.

Finally got around to building a padhack for my Astro. I decided to turn it into a project for my design portfolio, so I came up with this acrylic case as a cheap and effective mounting solution.

Got my personal logo laser etched into the acrylic during the cutting process, and I'm quite pleased with the results.

2x Akishop PS360+ boards wired to a Jammaboards JB-2 fingerboard. 1L4B + Start per player to the JAMMA edge; buttons 5, 6, 7, 8, and Select for each player were routed to a molex header, so if I ever get a 2L12B panel (or bigger) I can wire up a kick harness easily enough. The 24mm buttons are the Guide / Home buttons for each player. Top is P1, bottom is P2.

Tested with a viletim SCART - JAMMA adapter and Ketsui, and everything works great. 8)

I "modded" uh, my stools:

Took quite a bit longer than I expected, mostly cause the green/pink paint I got did not get along with the white paint and destroyed the finish so I had to start over and figure out another way of painting the colors. Ended up going with Plastidip and worked well, although for masking you have to peel while wet so that got a bit messy.

...and in general I wish I had just bought some cans and brushed everything on. Spray paint gives a nice even finish and all but it became a pain in the ass cause all the masking.

This is my first stick build, I used a 360 pad. It actually wasn't as hard as I was expecting once I'd done all the research and figured out how grounding works. Lever is a Seimitsu LS-56 with Sanwa OBSF 30 buttons. Yes it is made out of a Twinings tea box ;)

I'm really late to the Dreamcast party, but I hooked up a "4-wire" region hack last night so I can play Japanese discs without having to use a boot disc.

First console mod in years, I really need to get with it :)

Anyone have any tips regarding drilling a hole for a 10mm push button through a plastic case? Do I just use a regular drill bit of that size, or do I need something special?

Best bet is drill a smaller hole then use a thin sander attachment on a multitool (Dremel) to widen it.

It was my day off so I consolized my ArcadeSD, the best multi jamma pcb for classic gaming. This board is so cute it deserves a permanent place on my desktop. It uses a 2A 5V Meanwell power supply plus a 1A inline fuse. :)

GBA (agb-001) Backlight mod #1 complete! Installed the Deluxe Rainbow "luxury" ribbon cable, the one that allows you to adjust the brightness through 5-levels by holding Select and Pressing the L button.

Image

Still working on #2.

Image

The most time was spent cutting out the plastic tabs on the inside so the backlight lcd would fit.
Image

Image

This was a pretty easy mod to do, just 3 wires to solder.
Image

Now I need to get my hands on a couple of those glass lens covers since mine are a bit scratched up.
