Nope, they didn't but I had my suspicions. What's the giveaway other than the multitude of boards? Seems like a helluva piece of work for making a boot. But who am I to tell?

Actually the more I look at it..... It looks like Koreans have taken a real Konami PCB (if you take off the larger top layer you should be able to read the GX number off the board), then created a whole board to replace some kind of custom chip, as well as creating the ROM boards. It could be an unlicensed conversion of (mostly) legitimate parts they had from building other games.

How much was it? It would be interesting to get all the ROMs dumped.

Finally scored a brand new Kaneko 1994 Great 1000 Mile Rally Jamma conversion PCB kit for a mere $79.00 USD off of eBay by using the "Make An Offer" method:

I did try out the rom of Great 1000 Mile Rally via Mame on the Ouya micro-console setup, it's a blast tearing throught those corners at full-blast (and all in an impressive arcade-spec 60fps framerate)! Reminds me of the same isometric racing style presentation of Power Drive Rally on the Atari Jaguar console as well.

Considering that it's now towards the end of 2014, a NOS standard jamma PCB kit that hails from the year 1994 seems fitting to end it with a big bang. It even comes with all the necessary wiring to hook up an analog steering wheel + gas & brake pedal combo for even greater realism + a full set of pcb plastic feet & all necessary screws also. Plus the fact that the PCB has built-in support for an 8-way digital joystick + 2-button setup seals the deal in lieu of using the aforementioned dedicated steering wheel + gas & brake pedal setup.

What USA-based arcade game retailer on the net would be good to buy such a brand new dedicated arcade steering wheel + analog gas and brake pedal setup to play Great 1000 Mile Rally PCB properly? (It'd mean having to build a racing jig out of pvc piping to house the steering wheel + gas & brake pedals -- another one of those "rainy-day" arcade game projects).

I've noticed that there are some eBay auctions for the original instruction manual for Great 1000 Mile Rally 2 PCB but no actual PCBs for sale whatsoever. And is a Great 1000 Mile Rally 2 PCB worth tracking down to accompany the solid 1st one?

Not to spoil your enthusiasm, but in my case, he ruined the kit with tape and postage handling, because he just didn't care to package it and sent it using the kit box as the packaging... As a result, the PCB had a broken corner, and furthermore it was not working at all... No replies to my messages through eBay, had to file a Paypal claim, and still no reply from him... Then Paypal accepted the claim, made me send the junk back to its seller to get a refund of my money (minus the postage to send it back of course). Then the seller wrote an email asking me to revise the bad feedback I left for him (because he explained "he's a business and it's all his employee's fault" blah blah blah)... I declined his request, so the man was really mad, and as a vengeance he left a feedback in caps-lock letters on my profile with the awesome idea to swear that I sent him back an empty box... Then he wrote me again with angriness and insults about my "fucking country" etc... The man is a complete winner.
So well... my advice to other persons tempted by his stuff is just "Beware" with that kind of "bird"

Not that that seller's not a scumbag, but with ebay you can't assume anything. I specifically instruct sellers as to how they need to package the item or else it will get damaged and I'll send it back. I've only ever had one seller decide that he didn't want to take my advice.

I do exactly the same Every time I buy a video game in eBay, I ask politely the seller to pack the item carefully (without mentioning I would possibly send the item back if damaged) as I did too with that seller prior shipment of my item. But as I explained, he did not care at all about any of my messages. I've bought tons of stuff through eBay, but it's the first time that kind of shit happens to me. Perhaps the good point of this matter will incite the seller to pay more attention to the packaging work in his future sales..

Ooh Marvel Land, Marchen Maze, and Gunlock. I do love me some Marvel Land, shame the US versions MAME emulation is crap, but the Japanese one is a bit more spot on as the music doesn't sound mutilated.

I had a look at that, the emulation is perfect (well, identical to Japanese), but the sound code is different - it's either a bad dump or Namco sold a broken game. If I could find an owner with a US one I'd get them to re-dump it.

If it was the one from Italy, yes that was me . And I was willing to pay way more than it went for . But best of all is => the seller sold it as
"working with slight graphic issues" => turns out all it was: removing the ROMS, cleaning them & reseat them => working perfectly now .

Since this was the first time ever to see this PCB for sale in ca. 10 years I will not sell it anytime soon .

Noticed this thread recently, good stuff. Since I got my supergun up & running, figured it was worth taking stock of my collection so far.



Castle of Dragon. Probably my favorite "bad" arcade game.



Last Duel. Capcom game you don't usually hear much about. Interesting mixture of Spy Hunter and shmup stages.



Martial Champion with operator's manual. Not sure why I have this game...



Robocop. Personal favorite of mine.



Tecmo Knight. A surprisingly gruesome beat 'em up for its time. Bought this "untested" from ebay and lucked out big time.



Twin Eagle. My first purchased board. A pretty rough shmup in more ways than one but with an amazing soundtrack.

And now some more recent pickups.



Solar-Warrior. Sci-fi run & gun that reminds me of Ghosts 'n Goblins in a couple ways. It's from Technos, you can tell cause the game lags at the drop of a dime.



Ninja Gaiden with instruction cards. Very different from the NES games that followed. There's a rather odd issue with this board that if I have controls plugged in and coin up, the game will start doing its own inputs. Not sure if its something to do with my supergun or the board itself, since my SG & stick work fine with any other game.



Top Gunner, better known to some as Jackal. Things seemed fine from first glance...

That's actually normal. There are capacitors in there, all you're seeing is the capacitors being taller than the board they're on. Nothing to worry about there, I don't think.
