XRGB-1 New Owner, Questions

Post by philexile »

Hello,

I just received an XRGB-1 from Japan and I have a question. Could someone (preferably an XRGB-1 owner) please advise?

Does the XRGB-1 need 5v SCART wired to work? (My cable doesn't have this hooked up currently since the XRGB-2 didn't need it)

Thanks

EDIT: I did some more testing and I think it comes down to the SCART cable because composite sources work with the unit.

I have a DISPL and it seems that it needed the voltage pin wired to set the monitor working. Still haven't messed around with that.

In case anyone else needs it, here is what to wire on the bottom of the PCB.
You should snip the pin from the top side so that it's not connected to the 21 pin connector.

That worked – thanks! Unfortunately the XRGB-1 doesn't seem to accept the RGB signal from my SNES Mini. The Mini is using the onboard RGB chip – not the THS amp. It did work with my N64, which uses the THS for RGB.

Any suggestions for this?

Thanks again
