HOLY CRAP [Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time]

Post by SFKhoa »

My cousin had bought a copy of this game, and he showed me this one part where he was facing some Koopas controlled by helmets.

Turns out, those helmets don't control them, but it actually MAKES THEM TALK IN L33T. Holy crap, this has got to be a first that Nintendo decides to officially use L33t in-game.

Best part was when they said:

US = L33T, U = NOOB
PREPARE FOR TOTAL PWNAGE
WOOT WOOT WOOT WOOT WOOT

or something.

Edit:
"AREA RESTRICTED. ALL NOOB INTRUDERS 2 B HAX0RED BY US L33T HAMMER BROZ.!"

"WE R TEH SHROOB ALLIES. WE R0X0R U AND THEN ROFL. THEN U AM CRY."

"WE RECEIVE ORDERS THRU ANTENNAS ON THESE L33T HELMETS. THEY R HOTNESS."

"WE MUST OBEY ALL ORDERS. WE LIKE 2 PWN N00BS 4 TEH MASTER SHROOBZORS."

Yeah, I got a big kick out of that (although, I have to admit that seeing the Prinnies in Disgaea saying "Dood!" kind of took the wow factor out of it).

Too bad the game failed to be as entertaining as Superstar Saga. Gameplay-wise, anyway.

Yeah, I fell off my couch laughing at that part. Great game. Never played the first one though.

They really need to port Super Mario Bros. RPG to the DS... that would just be awesomeness.

There aren't as many "laugh your ass off" parts in Partners In Time as there is in Superstar Saga. Most of the humor in the DS game is slapstick (Luigi seems to have a lot of things land on his head throughout the course of the game), and a few subtle jokes here and there. But it gets pretty serious around the middle of the game - I've put about 13hrs into the game so far - and there is less comedy around that portion of the game.

I had finished Superstar Saga the day before I started Partners In Time, and I could not stop laughing while I was playing Superstar. That game was wall-to-wall comedy. One of the best RPGs I've played.

(I'd rather see the first Paper Mario ported to DS, myself.)

Haven't played PiT yet, but Superstar Saga is a great game and it has plenty of laugh your ass off moments (Luigi in Peach's dress had me rolling for a few minutes).

PiT kinda turns me off because I heard it is not as indepth or as funny as Superstar Saga.

I'm actually hoping they port Super Mario RPG to the GBA.
