It is sort of a minor detail, but the start button has been remapped to the v key (I think) after the update. I believe it was on the a key before (I already remapped it back to a). Just leaving this here in case anyone gets confused on where the pause button is later.

Props for leaving the replays and displaying a dialog box to explain how to watch the old ones. I never would have remembered in 2-3 years when I want to watch an old replay.

Probably the shot button doubles as start in the menu. The old start button is 'w'.

Have you ever played Truxton?
25-30 mins are perfect for a non-looping game.

Actually you are right. I forgot, it's not a 2 loop game. I'm just used to shorter loops. 35mins per loop is still quite long for me. Sometimes I wanna start an arcade run, but I'm not always so sure how long I can play before I get interrupted. Guess I'll just start playing time attack or practice mode more.

If I'm pressed for time, I usually just play a harder mode. That way, the game just kills me earlier and I don't have to worry about completing the whole game =P.

It can actually be over 40 minutes long when playing Unlimited with Type I

ahah !

I don't think the game is that long, especially if you do not milk the bosses ! It's just regular lenght for a shmup ? For sure compared to a 2ALL Psikyo, this is long yes

Personally I think 10-20 minutes is about right for a single loop game :P

...Not that anyone asked what I think or anything.

That's how it was with Ikaruga. Very short and sweet.

Yeah I do that too actually. unlimited kills me fast, I'm lucky if I even make it to the second stage. You really have to memorise the stages in that mode.

Anyone got this working with a Cthulthu PC/PS3 PCB? my buttons are fine but my joystick is all messed up, right is down and the other 3 don't seem to work.(Works perfect for everything else)
And I don't see any settings for the joystick in the game.

I'm trying joytokey at the moment but even if I set keyboard keys to my stick and buttons I don't see how I can turn off the current joystick support in the games options that's making the stick all wack, like right is up and also seems like it presses a button too and left is down etc.

Try holding the back/select button while plugging in the stick. My stick is a MC Cthulhu & IMPv2 / xbox360 combo so maybe different, but that fixed it for me.

Weird, it kind of made the directions proper but for some crazy reason it sees the directions also as buttons so it presses random things, even though I set the buttons properly in the settings and it works in the game just fine, just the stick is crazy still in this game.

Edit: I tried it again in windows unplugging and plugging it while holding back and then in the game again and it seemed to fix it, weird.
Thanks a lot for the help. :)

omg, can't believe i just no missed stage 4, went into stage 5 with two lives. I knew i was dead, I hadn't really practiced stage 5 that much, and as i expected I got destroyed. But I managed to move up on the score boards. Not an amazing score by any means, but for a time I thought I'd never get there.

This game is Haaaard. Or the lack of extends to be more precise. Sometimes when you are on zero lives, and you know you can get an extend from the midboss, and then you die with a few pixels of his life left. Oh, the torment!

I noticed recently that amount of stars affects the bullet speed in original mode. So if someone wants to practice in training it's better to add stars like in actual run. Some attacks of 5th and exbosses are actually easier when they are faster. Also i almost didn't played unlimited mode but i tested stage 2 with 0 and 1 million stars and it affects bullet speed in that mode too.

To my knowledge and experience. I haven't experienced any rank in original mode.

If you didn't played in training with zero stars it could be hard to notice but try exboss with 0 and 500-700k stars and you must see a difference. His first attack is slower and because of that it has a smaller gaps between bullets, i actually find it harder. And second attack where he shoots laser and fan bullets 3 times most probably fan bullets will still be on screen when he shoots 2nd and 3rd time. I doubt it's worth to control amount of stars in actual run but it's worth to add stars in training.

Omg you are right. For the first pattern I found the faster bullets easier to dodge.

But to be fair, I've never gotten that many stars in a run.

it's NEVER worth it to sacrifice lives AND score just to control some difficulty variable that sometimes makes patterns harder and sometimes easier
it's a retarded idea
do not ask about this
do not attempt it
forget about it

Type z is so OP. I've always been playing type 1. Type z makes tough parts of the game seem trivial.

Hey, since they made arcade original so much more difficult than the doujin version, I think it's only fair!

Sometimes the game runs at 58fps, and I have to restart my pc for it to run smoothly again. Is there a work around for this? I hate rebooting.

Will this bug ever be fixed? It's the one thing stopping me from enjoying the game. I refuse to reset my pc every time the game decides it's gonna run at 58fps instead of 60.
