So I tried my PS2 in RGB last night on my monitor and it looked great. When I switched to progressive mode in Guilty Gear AC+, I got no sync on my monitor. However, when I run my atomiswave to my monitor (which from my understanding is also 480P when it isn't in Hi-Res mode), I can see a picture just fine. The monitor suports 240, 480i, 480p, 720p and 1080i. I know it was in 480P mode because I saw no scanlines.
Any idea why that is?
Help need with Playstation 2 480P support with RGB monitor.

When you switch to 480p while the PS2 is in RGB mode, you get RGsB instead of RGBs. So Sync on Green. If your monitor can support this, you might have to toggle a switch or a menu option. If it doesn't you can use a sync converter to get RGBs or RGBHV from a RGsB signal.

Ah I see. I currently get sync from my PS2 by using a LM1881 on the svideo line. I assumed it would disregard the sync on green issue since it's still getting the external sync. I guess the monitor does not like the sync being added to Green line. My monitor does have an option to use internal sync however. Perhaps that is it.

Yes, that should be the right option.

The XRGB mini does not support sync on green, right?

can't he connect the green line to both the lm1881 and the green input and then get a picture? It may be wash out with a green tint though.
