Get yourself Excite Truck and Ghost Squad (other gun games by Sega, too). Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers as well. That's about it, for now.CIT wrote:

So tiny! So cute! So manly! It's the series' most brazen Ahnuld copycat ever.

Operation C? What's that? A guerilla campaign to sneak vitamin supplements into Fort "No Muhfucking Citrus Fruits Allowed" ? This is Contra, compadre - the only cures for intergalactic scurvy here are nickel plated and administered directly to the back of the head. Sorry, I was possessed by the spirit of ULTRA GAMEZ for a second there! Radical!

Nice pickup BIL! I've been looking into the GB's action game library recently, and there's some quality stuff, but generally I feel it's best to stick with the "big guns", i.e. Konami et al. This is actually one of the GB Konami games I have the least experience with.
Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Same - TBH, if not for your tip on that killer Dracula II & Nemesis II ebay deal, I'd probably still be weighing up whether I wanted to get into GB stuff with my console collecting far from over. With those two suddenly in the bag, I decided to nab the remaining three on my shortlist (Contra, Bionic Commando & Ryukenden) and be done with it.
I figure if there's anything else that can hold its own in a console action game setting, great - if not, these five are a nice compact set.

It's pretty flawed in some ways, but Pocket Bomberman is an action platformer like no other (on GB or anywhere else as far as I know).

Ta Obi. I know you're one of the board's GB hardcore so I plan to check out a few of your recommendations soon. ^__^ Balloon Kid's definitely on the table, the FC Hello Kitty version was likeable but didn't sit quite right with me. Seemed a lot comfier in native GB format.

I have no urge to revisit Hello Kitty World either.

I don't know how to erase the previous user's savestates and now Advance Wars keeps calling me someone else's nickname. Immature of me, but it feels... busted.
I happend to have a fairly realistic dream about a GBA game where some lady rode a vacuum cleaner (I think). Played like Motocross Maniacs or NiGHTS and shoulder buttons would switch gears (altering the speed of side-scroll). It wasn't obvious at the first glance; I had to figure out by myself how I was supposed to play it.
(Perhaps an essay by Soviet lady about Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey I've been reading lately has taken its toll.)

Hold L, Select, and Right immediately after turning the GBA on to bring up the data clear option. This is mentioned in the manual.I don't know how to erase the previous user's savestates and now Advance Wars keeps calling me someone else's nickname. Immature of me, but it feels... busted.

*I saw my mates copy of that MD book, I was REALLY impressed! I was expecting the usual copy and paste internet stuff, but it's so much more.
Tetris: The Grand Master, PCB #2. What a game! It NEVER gets boring. Hopefully this one won't randomly die on me. I may have to pick up TGM2+ again soon when it comes down in price a little.

I like the way that PCB looks -- neat and tidy.
Sort of like the original Snow Bros Romstar PCB.

That Revenge of Shinobi shirt is ok. But the fatal flaw is that Musashi appears to be wielding a Q-Tip instead of a katana.

Japanese texts on stuff. I'm not sure what any of it says, but they look pretty cool.

Omega 8006 masticating juicer. I hear that consuming lots of fruits and vegetables is a good way of preventing butt cancer, tapeworms and Americanism.
