The 20XX armada fleet, led by Stinko Man, versus the BaradukeX Space Crafter, which can apparently craft space (by blowing holes in things).

Piloted by Nicolas Cage of all people, which means it can probably turn into a flaming version of itself with a skull on the hull nose.

I like it. 120% win.

It's times like this I wish there was some sort of entity that could supercede the authority of an administrator of any community.

This has been bothering me for a couple weeks now, but why do I get the feeling he singled you out for impersonation?

I could be wrong though. I mean he did call himself 20th Century Fox...

You don't have the wrong impression at all. He was starting to go after other developers, like SAS. That's why I made this thread. It was no longer just "my problem". But it's still mostly me he was targeting.

If you hadn't mentioned contacting his mother, I could swear this is a trollbot created by some bastard who's laughing his ass off right now.

Actually I've read enough of squirrelking and Peter Chimaera to end up having an eerie gut feeling that this is the case. Nobody's insane enough to go to all the trouble of starting fake accounts left and right and steal material from all over the place under just one username that happens to be a real person's stolen surname.

IMHO, looks like somebody's dragging your name through the mud intentionally. If it's not a trollbot, it's some butthurt dude you might have crossed long ago.

I couldn't recognize a single piece of music from there. However, he's got a Grooveshark with several much more easily identified songs he's claimed ownership of:

http://grooveshark.com/#!/profile/James ... r/28387047

It looks like he is trying to pretend to be a developer by stealing the names/assets of people who make things. A potential lead from his DA page:
We're utilizing Internet technology in ways that give us competitive advantages in business, said President and Chief Executive Officer James Emirzian Waldementer.

"We're actually able to advertise more efficiently and effectively, reaching our targeted demographics and creating demand for our product in less time and with much less cost. We're also able to operate very efficiently with a smaller staff, reducing our overhead and maximizing profits for our game developers. It's a win-win situation for us both."
That second paragraph read way too unlike any of his other ramblings. Surprise, surprise, it's an identical match to this:

http://www.thefreelibrary.com/ionos+Inc ... a019060627
"We're utilizing Internet technology in ways that give us competitive advantages in business," said President and Chief Executive Officer Mario Vassaux.
Some media hype article about a go-nowhere company called ionos. He ripped it word for word and just substituted a completely different name. A bit more digging, and it looks like his YouTube channel used to claim he belonged to Ionos with yet another shitty website he made with their name (and Toastsoft's) plastered over it:

https://web.archive.org/web/20140108000 ... eebly.com/

Judging by his "artwork", I think he actually is a child:

https://web.archive.org/web/20140109085 ... works.html

https://web.archive.org/web/20140109085 ... 2_orig.jpg

He also slaps "Published And Distributed By: Namco Bandai Games, Inc." everywhere.

edit: he is still around and his Youtube is now mostly videos of him dancing

Yeah, he is a big fan of taking press releases, doing a find-and-replace on them with specific keywords and slapping the resulting insane nonsense somewhere on the interwebs.

What's really sad is that around his age, I was already making complete, original games from scratch on my Mac ..

He does a lot of that copy-and-paste shit because his english is so bad. It's nothing to do with him actually being retarded .. kids do dumb shit. But he's at least a teenager by now.

And BTW, those archive links used to have the logo and my artwork on it, until I contacted archive.org to get it removed.

Can someone coax him into copying some big league game so he can be sued for big bucks and get this done with? Or perhaps try and get him to rip on a huge well liked doujin game, then sick the entire fanbase and potentially the developer as well on him.

I wasn't quite at that level, but yeah. By the time I was around 13, I was drawing out ideas for complete games I wanted to make someday. I began to dream of becoming a game designer back then, and I still do. But this is sad, pathetic, and I really just can't imagine someone who would do this. Just out of curiosity, what makes you think he's a teenager?

I've discovered JD's latest project, and guess what? Even as idiot steals from him and claims the games he made are his, he's commenting on his YouTube videos. Sound familiar? I've already notified him at his latest website.

Hi I just discovered this site this morning looking over my site referral stats. This guy has a set of balls the like I've never seen. He actually come to my home site and made a post:

I called him out and I kinda thought that would be the end of it. Then, just this morning I was contacted by someone that make me fully (thanks again bro for putting me in the know) aware of all the BS that is going on with this guy. Wow, just WOW!

I've now banned him on my website/social sites and removed his comments/posts. He's looking for an audience, maybe the best way in dealing with him is not to give him one. I was reminded this week by a poster in another dev forum that going after him in an improper way can result in more trouble from me than what this guys is doing, which sucks so hard on so many levels but true. I'm beside myself how prolific his activities have been. Geez man. Why not spend that energy actually trying to be creative and original rather than stealing the work of others.

I dunno man .. it really comes down to lack of talent or being too lazy to build up skill, but at the same time craving the validation from being creative.

I remember back in highschool, I had made some Doom maps .. and one day, one of my friends sent me a Doom map he made. And by that, I mean he had downloaded it from somewhere and sent it to me claiming he had made it. I was immediately suspicious; it was way too polished for a first map, and he had never asked me about making maps before. So I snooped around some places and sure enough, I found the map he had downloaded and sent to me, claiming he made it.

I confronted him about it, and he fessed up .. never tired to fool me like that again. It's pretty clear he wanted to be seen as "Cool" and able to do what I was doing (Making maps from scratch), but couldn't figure out how .. or wasn't willing to put in the hard work to figure it out.

I think the difference here is that idiot here seems adamant that he's done nothing wrong with what he's done, no shame whatsoever, and continues to press on stealing from people like nobody's business, and attacking the people he's stealing from. Your moral compass has to be seriously broken for this to happen ..

The number of people, developers and publishers he's stolen from or impersonated has reached 16. Wow! It's a new record! I have managed to contact most of them. It's hard finding contact info for people who used to run some stuff back in the 90's. I've discovered he did a LOT of his pilfering from archive.org.

I'd like to say this whole mess is going to come to a close soon, but it's not even close. The more I search, the more fake shit I find, some of which has been sitting around for 3-4 years now.

I never thought when someone pointed out the fake sites with my work stolen on it back in August, this is how it would end up. Looking back, I originally thought they were put up by a spambot. If only that were the case ..

There has been some progress, but it's been slow. He went as far as to shit up MobyGames with his fake logos for several defunct shareware publishers/developers. That takes some dedication.

Edit: The fake logos were finally removed ..

Thread resurrection! I know I haven't posted here in some time, as there hasn't been any big news, until now. Some shit that happened -

I discovered several wikipedia accounts, where he attempted to mess up multiple articles with his garbage, and even make new ones. Wikipedia being what it is, his edits were quickly reverted and new pages were deleted. He had also copied the text from my personal profile page circa 2001. Which he got from archive.org. WTF indeed.

I discovered similar amounts of stolen content uploaded to his other accounts. Previously I had no clue where to look to find it. Their interface is terrible for actually finding stuff. Once I found it, though, me and SAS got it removed. He had uploaded every sprite and background from both our games, en masse, to multiple accounts.

After getting the content removed, he once again attacked SAS on DA, filling his comments section with spammy rage. This resulted in him getting all of his accounts banned, and properly purged, so that the leftover content is permanently removed. Apparently some of them had been meant to be purged months ago, but it never went through.

I think it's safe to say the worst of it is over. And it doesn't look like he'll be trying any more crap any time soon. Unfortunately for me, there's still multiple fake profiles, twitter accounts and blogs, that while the content was removed, they remain up. I will likely use them as evidence to send to anyone who comes in contact with him.

Unless he decides to go whole-hog thievery again, which I don't think is going to happen, I doubt I'll be posting here with any big news any time soon.
