Just wondered if anyone knows what are the best CRT arcade monitors that can do 31Khz (doesn't need to be able to do 15khz) that can still be purchased brand new?
I'm looking for the 29" size & can ship from anywhere in Europe.
Cheers :)

You just missed a like-new Toshiba PF on eBay that went for a steal. That's the monitor you want.

Great link cheers for that. I'll give them a shout - it looks like these are basically as good as a brand new monitor. They mention that you shouldn't try live switching between resolution modes as that will shorten the life of a multisync monitor. Can I infer from that that I shouldn't switch between 15Khz and 31Khz on my NEC XV29 while it is on? i.e. when you select the option to change to progressive scan on a Gamecube.fagin wrote:You do realise it's nearly 2015!?

I've found one manufacturer that does completely brand new CRT monitors: as well: http://www.makvision.com/
Here's there 29" model: http://www.xgaming.com/store/arcade-par ... e-monitor/
I wonder if anyone has any experience of these and if they're decent?

Their prices are outrageous though, be cheaper getting one from the USA ebay seller and getting it delivered here in the UK even at £100 shipping would still work out cheaper!! If using for MAME would probably be best getting the SVGA monitor.
