Interesting point with playing live helping out nerve control. Maybe that's part of why most of the greats insist on playing in arcades even when they practice on MAME/ports?

Anyway WY has been scoring in the 3 billion range for years and a few months ago came 1m from HFD. For comparison, the 2nd best in China, WC., has several WRs in other games but gave up at 2.2b. So you're really getting good, if scoring in the neighborhood of ISO wasn't enough indication. Fuck, man, don't you want 3b?

Well I'd love to get 3B sure, the thing is although I might actually be capable of reaching it, it would probably require a huge number of tries (and ofc might still fail). Like I was telling TLB, I really don't like to grind a lot. So I feel good that I didn't have to grind at all to get this one, and perhaps one day I will come back to try and get 3B... or maybe not!! Most likely I would stop playing when I reach something between ISO's score and 3B.

Right now my play time is counted anyway and with SDOJ coming out soon I think I'll just switch games or do something else.

As for this WY guy, FYI:

WY entered the DOJ arena in early 2011 after he finished his Mushi BL GOD trail. By September of 2011 he already achieved 3bil milestone on DOJ BL, and a pretty decent DOJ WL progress. He pressed on in the continuing days, got 1.8bil from DOJ WL and cleared it with 1.6bil in March, 2012. From that point on, his progress seemed have slowed down. The latest catch was 3.544bil on DOJ BL, Feb. 2013.

For his case, I believe constant practice with emulator and reference to HFD's DVD super play would be the key in this rapid ascention. He's well-known for his patience and determination in Chinese shmup community, and possesses excellent dodging skills.

Most of us may not be as capable as him but with steady devotion of time and energy, a memorable score is rather definite. Prom, go for it and wish you good game.

hahaha! Good to know. I'm guessing a regular PC keyboard will work on the 360. But how about mapping the pad to the keyboard? I've seen things like the XIM Edge but no idea on the input lag. That thing is expensive.

Seller said 8ms input lag maximum, so should get only 1 frame of lag. Should be ok, will see.

Finally made the board...

I actually qualified for the loop, for the first time, on this run. I had never seen the screen where you choose whether to end the game or loop, and of course, I chose wrong because moonrunes... Had two stock, and could've gone on for a while.

Best part? This was done during a live run at arcade game's shmupmeet earlier today.

Regardless, it was a great run overall, and I'm happy to have finally broken the 200m mark.

Terrible run survival-wise. Everything went fine until 1-5 boss ( NMNB I think? ), but then I shat through the floor and died twice. This streak continued in 2nd loop as well, ruining the run pretty much. I've been making to 2-5 pretty well recently ( almost managed to get to final boss, was stopped by those ships just before the boss ) and now I am again in this downward spiral.
Thankfully I beat my old score, thanks to some neat chains and 7000 hits on 1-4 boss.

Just played this for shits and giggles after partaking in some excellent white widow.
Apparently this stuff is good for dodging? No missed all of 2-2 and the boss completely blind. Never made it to the 2-1 boss before.
Such a good game. Too bad i suck so hard at it.
