I was planning on hosting a meet relatively soon (in a few weeks maybe?). Just wanted to check how many people would be interested and get an idea of roughly when people are free.

I don't have a whole lot of stuff but I was thinking something along these lines:

Gaming room:
- Astro City
- TV + consoles

Living room:
- Projector + consoles

I also managed to hook up the fourth button on the Astro City thanks to a few wires that I got from brendz so we should be able to get some DFK BL going if you guys are tired of Futari BL

Yes, that was me. Nice, that would be super awesome! 1.01 sounded brutal when you explained it at the last meet. No worries if it turns out to be a hassle to bring the 360 though.

1.01 is pretty brutal. The only part I found comparable or a bit easier than 1.5 was Stage 5, which actually doesn't get as crazy in terms of bullet speed (rank seems to have a much smaller effect on this) so several bits are actually easier to dodge. Though you have to be careful of some of the ground enemies that shoot 3 way spreads (only single shots in 1.5) and scoring is a lot less interesting (the lanterns are just decorative and give minimal points). The stage 5 boss is completely ridiculous though.

The projector setup was very cool, and I can now say that I've played a real FDS

It was awesome to see that so many people showed up at the meet! Also, thanks Udderdude and BKR for bringing over some gear!

I had no idea that the Shmups Skill Test and CombatZeal were so much fun in 4-player mode, definitely gotta play that again at some point! I was also going to let people try out Zelda and Donkey Kong II on Game & Watch but I totally forgot about them :/ Zelda on G&W is pretty awesome!

I'll try and host another meet sometime! I'll make sure to get my Saturn + Virtua Stick repaired before then and pick up a few more FDS games
