Hello,
I'm having some trouble with my monitor today.
I just received a Street Fighter 2 board and when I went to go test it out I got wavy video. When I place my Raiden Fighters board the monitor works just fine but when I place the Street Fighter 2 board it becomes wavy again.
I'm guessing it's some wiring problem but I'm not sure what exactly.
Here is a video I took:
Street Fighter 2: Wavy Edition
Sorry that I hosted the file on there but I had no other place to put it.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sparky

I thought it would be something like that too but it works just fine with I try out my other boards. I know this board isn't messed up either as it was working before I took it back from my friend.Neon wrote:I had the same problem recently. Moving the monitor away from my amplifier solved it (you have to get it away from any power supplies it might be near)

Have you tried adjusting the vertical hold control on the monitor?Sparky wrote: I just received a Street Fighter 2 board and when I went to go test it out I got wavy video. No, this was earlier. But I guess if he had the same problem as mine it would be affecting all his games.Dave_K. wrote:Have you tried adjusting the vertical hold control on the monitor?Sparky wrote: I just received a Street Fighter 2 board and when I went to go test it out I got wavy video. Sparky: Do you have any other CPSI/II (not sure which ver. of SF2 you've got) boards? Maybe they're at a different hz/more sensitive to it, though I'm not pretending that I'm not talking out of my ass right now whatsoever. Just a thought.
Ah, the little PCB that changes monitor settings was not properly plugged in which was not allowing me to make the changes. (Might also be the reason it was shocking me earlier.)
Changing the Horizontal and Vertical holds fixed the problem.
Thanks for the help and responses Dave, Neon, and Brian!
