Congratulations dude. I haven't played the game you just beat so idk how hard it is but if you like Psikyo but don't like it too hard, try going for 1-alls of Dragon Blaze or Strikers 99. They are both pretty fun :>

Congrats Blinge, that took you no time at all. Final boss of Sengoku is such a joke, you can kill him before he ever even attacks  . What about Strikers though, are you still planning to see it to the finish?

Haha, I think next time one of those "Easiest Clears" threads shows up I'm going to just copy and paste my own 1cc list. But seriously, nothing wrong with building a list, even easy games can teach valuable lessons.

I'm not sure. It'd be a shame to waste the hours of practice I poured into it but there's things i'd much rather play.

I wouldn't bother. When you realize you hate a game, getting the 1cc no longer really feels satisfying. It's more gratifying to beat a game you enjoy and would be proud to introduce others to.

I downloaded Blue Wish Resurrection Plus without knowing anything about it... And 1cc'd it on my first credit. I'm not sure if I really should be that proud, but a 1cc is a 1cc. This was original mode by the way.

I have to say the game is really boring; its scoring system seems really bland (although to be fair I can't tell if there's really a scoring system beyond not autobombing or dying), music is meh, and it's way too easy. I mean it's extremely competent doing what it does, but it just doesn't stand out at all.

I will say that I really like the font the game uses; sorta brings to mind CPS2 arcade games.

Managed to clear normal on StellaVanity earlier today with the Type-S version of both playable characters. I'm still figuring out some of the mechanics in it. I only figured out how to score good enough to get the second score extend. Not sure how to raise rank either, but I'm assuming its score related based on some runs I watched.

I was using Azerlete for my 670 million run. I find it easier to trigger an ethereal shift at the start of stage 1 using her compared to Limulene. I noticed that the ethereal shift helps with raising the multiplier as well as summon more enemies in that mode. During boss fights, using ethereal shift when you are about to finish a phase (like when you can use raid) will increase your score based on information I read and from runs I watched. I also noticed that timing a delayed shift is important as you can cancel bullets if you manually cancel the mode yourself or it ends on its own. I have no idea how important accessories and stats are towards scoring mostly because of the language barrier.

Prinny, did you beat it with autobomb on or off? I think it will be better if you'll add that info to your 1cc list.

So delighted to have 1CC'd Espgaluda last night (PCB/Ageha/28.7mil). I swear of all my 1CC's, that's the hardest fought for. I had it in my head Espgaluda wasn't to difficult, but I found it insanely trying, just because of that last pattern and all that no bombing nonsense. Ultimately, it took me until I could 1-life the game to the 5-1 boss fairly consistently; then I had to make it to the final pattern with two or three lives in stock. But I beat the turd. Very happy. And now I can actually enjoy the game!

Cheers guys. Now I need to decide what's next. I'm staring at my ESP.ra.de PCB, and pondering Espy 2 (a harder game than Espy, right?) also. And I just took delivery of Shiki 3. Might stay on an Espy tip while I'm feeling it.

If they were my choices, I'd go for esprade. ESP 2 is indeed a harder beast and if clearing the first was driving you mad, more of the same for 2 plus being quite a bit harder, you could burn out. The mechanic in esprade is different enough for it not to feel to samey coming from espgaluda... Just my opinion though, good luck with whatever you go for!

I've spent some time with ESrade before. I did love it.

As for Espy 2; I did find Espy 1 in general fairly 'easy' (I'm talking relatively!). It was just that last pattern meant I need to get good enough to 1-life it to stage five regularly. It was infuriating at times, but also tremendous fun. So Espy 2 remains in my sites.

Congrats Spadgy :)

I've never put a ton of effort into Galuda, but what I did play of it I found pretty difficult. Could be that I'm just not suited to it, as I don't appreciate the slowdown mechanic much. Definitely for me Mushi is a much easier clear as far as non-DS Cave games go, despite Esp's rep for being the easiest.

Good job on Galuda, Spadgy.

I could get to the final boss many times having often no-missed the game, and could never manage to beat the motherfucker despite many lives in the bank.

I rarely cuss publicly, but somehow that came naturally. Nothing in the game prepares you for that kind of fight.

If I were to put it in a graph, it would look like this:

But maybe it's just me.

Playing Nemesis II (GB) at the moment. A solid Gradius for sure, but its real standout quality is the sense of being on a spacefaring adventure with lots of twists and turns. Some great transitions between areas, totally seamless for the most part. End of stage 3 is a Rayforce moment. :o Finished Normal quite easily but Hard seems a good bit trickier with lots of breathing room now occupied by bullets.

Got Space Moth tonight. Last boss wasn't the wall I expected it to be, but was still an interesting way to end it. I'd push on to 300k, but I really need to finish Darius Plus before I abandon it.

Well, Nemesis II (GB) was still a piece of cake on Hard, provided you know a few Gradius fundamentals in Option positioning and missile teabagging. There's always plenty to do (you can spawn at least one additional midboss by demolishing its forerunner quickly enough), it's just relatively simple to stay on top of things. But still, what a delightful little game - cleared it several times over this evening. The quick pace and seamless visual narrative remind me a lot of Hyper Duel, having that same rare bond of undiluted action to 2D mini theatre. Brilliant all-original soundtrack too, as with the same year's Dracula Densetsu II; jailbreak theme "Dodge" in particular couldn't be more perfectly composed or placed.

It's just you. Jakou is pretty nasty due to his fight lasting a bit longer than the average final boss, but he's also got a few rather easy pattens (compared to Mushi's last boss for instance) so it's not all pure hell. In fact, the hardest attack in the game I'd argue is his second-last attack, the one that attempts to trap you. His final pattern has a lot of health and has that nasty bombing refills his health, but when you know what you're doing, it's rather slow. If you need to bomb, tap it and move horizontally, and you can use up your kakusei to navigate when you're trapped near the bottom or edge of the screen. As long as you realize the large bullets only have hitboxes in their centers, it's actually quite doable. There's a few of Jakou's other attacks I find much nastier (which are bombable and kakusei-able). He's definitely a tough final boss, but nowhere near the difficulty leap you're making him out to be I think.

I find Ms. Gaara in Esp.Ra.De. is considerably nastier, and the game in general more difficult.

A lot of people also seem to be under the impression that Ageha is stronger and therefore easier to clear bosses with. He isn't. Tateha's got both the better rapid shot (spread) and better laser damage (those piercing shots are gigantic and actually do more damage than Ageha's lasers). Tateha is a lot better for a first 1CC. Ageha's better for scoring due to the thin shot spread though, and Ageha's kakusei mode is a bit easier to use (Tateha's rapid in kakusei is very strong too, but harder to use in dense patterns because you move so quickly). In Espgaluda 2, Ageha's laser is definitely stronger though.

Hey everyone, it's been a while! Sorry I've been gone for a while, just been writing programs and code everyday, more-or-less.

Well, anyways, I finally got my first ever 1cc of Embodiment of Scarlet Devil in lunatic mode! I've been wanting this clear since late August, and well, it finally happened, and it was when I actually had time to play again for a little bit! :D

EoSD lunatic mode 1cc

Well, this makes EoSD the 4th Touhou game I've cleared in lunatic mode, and I guess I'll go beat Flandre next (Or I might do some other thing, I don't know, hmm...), though I'll have to put that one off for a while, due to school stuff (again, writing programs & codes and all that good stuff, lol). Getting a little closer to beating all of the Touhou STG games on lunatic, and me playing other STGs more and more often as well.

Well, that's that for now, I guess! :)
I'm Purple (or VioletHatPurple), the man who'll become King of the Doujin Players! Yes, I am a Touhou/Doujin Game Player!
