Hello everyone.
I'm Alex from Italy and I'm very new to this forum, I was pointed here from fudoh's homepage.
It's been some time I've been into japanese retrogaming/retrocomputing, and I got to know about Micomsoft scalers: so I got a Framemeister for my consoles and Xpc-4 for my computers.
Yesterday I was playing with my x68000 when I load a certain game (I think it was pacland) when suddenly the image on the screen becomes all fuzzy and the xpc-4 stops working.
It still powers on, but when I connect an analog rgb source (x68000 or normal Windows pc via VGA) nothing happens and even the led under "analog" doesn't turn on.
What's funny is that if I connect a digital source (by hdmi-to-dvi cable) it still works and displays regularly.
What have I done/burnt/broken?
I wanted to hear some suggestion from people who have the xpc-4 from longer than me, even though I already made my mind into buying another one.
Thank you.
Is my xpc-4 broken, do I have to buy another one?

I had this happen once if you cant get in the menu to reset it try flashing the firmware on it again. My XPC4 had this issue and luckily set it back to defaults and started working again.

Hi, thank you for answering.
I can get to the menu indeed, but I didn't try to flash the firmware. I think it's the only thing I have left.
I'll give it a try.

Tried flashing it, everything went right but nothing changed. I think I have damaged something in the xpc4 by swapping connectors without having remuved AC plugs before.
Luckily the X68000 is good and working.

There's a good chance Micomsoft will fix it. You just need a proxy to inquire about it and handle the shipping.

Thank you for the suggestion Fudoh, but I really can't afford the time and fuss of asking, shipping, and so on. This is the first thing I have broken since my beginnings with retrocomputers, and it's my fault.
It could have gone worse... at least it's a regularly produced today's electronic equipment I can have from Japan at a regular (high) price.
I'm gonna buy another one and hope everything else is good, but it should be since I can normally operate my x68k when hooked to my lcdtv with vga cable.
