It's actually a fairly easy game, just a few trouble spots in stages 6-8 that you need to remember, and occasional tricky setups in 4 and 5. Oddly enough, that was even my first clear of the game at all

Just cleared Gradius V on Very Hard difficulty. This one really took some time, it's basically an order of magnitude harder than the normal difficulty, which seems like a complete joke in comparison. Will be posting the video once it's uploaded.

My final score playing very hard was 2944130 (I made it to 2-3). Maybe I'll give the score attack a shot this weekend, takes so much free time with these 70 minute loops lol.

Well I just 1-ALL'd Dodonpachi Resurrection 1.5 on 360, after playing for a couple of days. I know it's the easiest in the series but my head was up my own ass a bit, until i realised my score is garbage

So got Exceed 3 from Steam today, had to go through a bit of hazzle to get it running at 60fps, played a credit and got a Blind Normal mode 1cc. Pretty easy on that level but there's a hard mode which will probably provide a bit more resistance. Twas' a fun credit tho

2-ALL'd Raiga Strato Fighter. I'd only discovered the game this week too, so I'm quite pleased. It's pretty easy for an arcade game I think... but it requires a lot of learning as you basically never, ever want to get killed during a run (you can recharge a fairly strong shield thankfully) because recovery is brutally hard, even in spite of the game having a lot of extend items and no checkpoints. Replay will go up on YouTube when I get the chance (I used up most of my bandwidth for this month apparently uploading to my ISP...).

There's also a fourth difficulty that's unlocked by beating the TLB, who herself doesn't appear along with her stage unless you jump through a few hoops.

Interesting thing. I spent a little time messing around with Hard mode and I'm really not challenged by the patterns at all until the Stage 5 boss so I'd definitely need to look into this 4th difficulty. Still a fun title though :>

Nice one trap! Congrats! Tiger heli is a game close to my heart, I've gotta get around to clearing this myself one day.

I recommend not watching the replay until you've cleared it. The game is almost like a puzzle, watching a replay gives away the answer

Well I tried it a few times and here are the results so far (I posted these also in the hi-score thread for Gradius V also):

4,678,370 - 3-1 - Weapon Edit
3,706,500 - 2-5 - Type 2

I know I can do better than this, I've practice loop 3 and 4 a bunch, but it's hard to remain focused in a game this long and play perfectly. Also, 1 death in the wrong place and you are looking at a bunch of chain deaths and a game over. I'm going to keep trying for 3 loop clear but finding the time for these super long runs is the biggest problem right now.
