Ever think up of some unique weapon, enemy design, scoring system, game play, etc, idea? Are you like me and to lazy or busy to make a game about it yourself? Then post your idea here and maybe someone could run wild with it.
I thought a pretty cool idea for a bomb would be that once activated a grid appears on the screen. After that your ship can pop along the grid really quickly like electricity following a current and bash away at enemies while invincible. I think it would be interesting because usually activating a bomb isn't very interactive. The big explosion goes pop and that's about it generally.
I also thought of making a shooter that has a really low bullet count. The way I would make it work is to make a ship that can't fire bullets but has to consume the bullet and chomp on it for a little while before it fires it back. I think it could get pretty intense trying to catch bullets and having to wait to fire them back. I guess it would kind of work like if you crossbred Ikaruga with Breakout.
I know that this stuff probably seems kind of juvenile, but I thought it would be interesting to read other peoples ideas.

The thought occurred to me of a kind of charge attack + branching follow ups system.
Tap the fire button for standard rapid fire, hold it down and release for a melee attack. Catch is that after a melee attack, you can do something akin to a Just Attack in PSO2. Press fire again for your standard rapid shot or charge, or wait a second and do a timed press to branch off into a special follow up melee attack or some other unique action. Maybe this could also apply for bombs and other buttons (ie press bomb timed after the first melee to do an ex attack that has small invincibility and consumes half a bomb, or something).
I like the bomb idea btw. Kind of reminds me of ramming stuff with the super speed up bombs in Dangun Feveron.

That's the way Shatter works, more or less.
