How does one config ESD PC shmup demo to run properly?...

I managed to download the Embodiment Of Scarlet Devil PC shmup demo and get a "custom" configuration error.

Could a fellow shmupper please give me the English language version of the ESD "custom configuration" screen setup?

I'm running WinXP and would like some pointers on getting it to run properly.

I think you need to get this thing called AppLocale:

http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/tools/apploc.mspx

Then open ESD through it and the gibberish should turn into Japanese and let you set up the game.
