Looks like Raiden DX Arcade version is making it onto the 3rd disc as well, with details forthcoming on the tracklisting.

God INH loves my money.

It's rare to see such quality coming from an independant company. Especially one that goes to great lengths to give the consumers so many extras like OSTs, exclusive remixes and artbooks.

Long may it continue. (And God, I'm going to be skint, with this, the Mushi set and all those games forthcoming ^_-)

(I'd like to see more Raizing stuff, though...)

I don't see why not. They've stocked all the previous Insanity DVDs and OOPArts sets. ^_-

Bah, that's a bit expensive... I'm quite sure they could have squeezed down Raiden I & II's full music onto 1 CD. So, erm, does anyone know of a way to listen to the music from the PSX Raiden Project, for those of us that already have the game?

Also, how is Raiden Densetsu on FM-Towns? anyone has a clue why this home release got the honor to be included in the OST? Does it sound especially good?

@ Icarus: what are OOPArts? -_-

Yes, Raiden DX is on there... I somehow missed it the first time. Fixed.

Turrican: Raiden Densetsu is about the only Raiden I've ever really played, and didn't like it that much. Very sluggish, and I couldn't get passed the second stage, so I just let it go. Tatsujin-Ou was a much better find for the Marty.

ccovel: Stuff in Japan is always expensive. I find this a rather cheap set for 3900 yen, considering the bare minimum for CD relaeses is 2500 yen, and this one has 3 CDs and a booklet. Overkill? Probably, but I'm sure fans of the series would be pretty pleased with it.

I may have to grab this one, since I seem to have accumulated a number of Raiden PCBs lately...

Um...wow! I always find myself saying just the opposite. When was the last time Sony gave us a soundtrack and bandana that said 'shooting love' complimentary with the standard edition? I always thought it was the little guy that still cared; meanwhile Lucas reissues the same fucked version of the starwars set we narrowly avoided buying last year, only to sell it again this year as a 'new' item.

er, sorry for the rant.

Anyway, the Raidens always had GREAT music--maybe sometimes I like the music more than the gameplay. I'll have to pick this one up.

Wait a minute... if FM-Towns Raiden Densetsu is pretty much a Raiden port, and Raiden DX music doesn't change too much from Raiden II... And the DX "new release" arrangement in the psone port isn't included...

This set is going to be like Castlevania Chronicles OST: lots and lots of variations of the same ten or so tracks. :?

Not complaining too much, but at least a couple of newly composed remixes wouldn't have hurt.

Yes, I'm a bit disappointed they would include the VP1 soundtrack from PSX Raiden DX on the VP1 set, and not the New Release on their new Raiden set. DX Arcade does sound a hell of a lot better than Original from DX Playstation, though.

At least, arcade, FM Towns, and Raiden Project all had completely different arrangements of the music (although the same songs). The VP1 set bothered me a bit in that regard.

Too much source material to draw from with the ridiculous number of ports the first game received. Looks like they're only using material the original composer Go Sato was directly responsible for. I wonder if they'll include the arranged track from the Raiden Densetsu OST.

Wait, you're confusing me... Do you mean that inside all this stuff there isn't the Viper soundtrack that I listened in Psone Raiden DX? Then what's the difference between Master Data, Consumer and Arcade? Keep in mind I haven't played VP1.

agree. I was just speaking for the sake of variety.

Also, what else Go Sato composed besides Raiden/VP?

P.S. Nice music you have at your page nZero!

Ah, sorry, I should be more careful how I word these things. Consumer version is Viper Phase I's soundtrack as it appeared in Raiden DX for the Playstation.

I just thought it was funny that they threw that on the VP1 set, but aren't putting the other two soundtracks from Raiden DX Playstation on the Raiden set.
Turrican wrote:Also, what else Go Sato composed besides Raiden/VP?
The first two Raiden Fighters games, at least. I believe there are some other things but I don't have any proof one way or the other.

Ahh, thanks  Probably a hobby I should pick up again sometime...
