I cant say i collect any tvs this old. I dont see the point.

I do however have an old fender guitar amplifier from 1963 that still works.

its great for playing old rock because it has that sound to it that you just dont get from a new amp.

I love this one. It's the built-in battery that really sells it to me...

The vtr port stands for video tape recorder. its not rgb its just regular composite. It just boggles my mind though to see a 1971 tv with this port.

sony were actually selling a consumer tv with a vtr in 1971? thats crazy.

since you have the VTR port you could probably wire up an adapter for better video,

I see there is a switch on the side to switch to it.

the schematic for it i looked up a while ago had said that it was composite, and its a type EIAJ-8 connector, but unfortunately i cant seem to find it now.

Perhaps some versions also do RGB.

A lot of older sony PVMS and BVMS had that connector.

by the way I have a tv that also has an odd connector. does anyone know what a 5 pin full size din connector on a 1991 sylvania tv would be for? it looks like an old AT keyboard connector.

Its some kind of video connector but i just have no idea. Its labeled as ANT. wich is really odd because the tv also has a regular RF F connector on it.

ANT must be antenna, I'd guess. Five pins isn't enough to do that much really.

Here's a 1980 Hitachi model CT-1302 13" color TV.
Made in Singapore.
Found it for free.
Seems like it needs some adjustments or tuner cleaning.
Not the greatest of quality.
The plastic white tool is for the V.Hold adjustment.

Got this little Zenith Space Command portable color TV. Pairs well with the famicom. Also got a nice little white TV that will go great with the original white PCE core. Lastly a sweet Sharp C-1 Famicom TV.

Yeah I was considering getting the white one too in order to match with the original PC-Engine, but I found another little white set that I thought paired a little better.

Man, "Pulser" (sorry I doubted your spelling for a moment, rob!) or even "Pulsar" (this being a brand I think we see here occasionally) is pretty unfortunate for a TV. Nothing bad against the set itself, though.

If I can ask, where did the C-1 come from? The design reminds me quite a bit of an old Radio Shack TV monitor (supplied for systems like the TI-99/4a) I used to use before getting a more modern set.

Here's a rarity, probably one of the last tube TV's made during this time period. I got this for free from local classifieds.
It has a nice picture even for an SPC TV set (silver plastic crap)
14" flat screen
Made in Thailand
Comes with remote
Rear component input and front RCA composite jacks

I used to have a 27" Toshiba from around that same time, probably the same lineup in fact (the remote was identical).

As mine was a larger set, it didn't have the headphone output, but it did have more inputs on it. The S-video quality was amazing for SNES and Dreamcast, and the component input for Wii, even though it was interlaced, gave a fantastic clear picture.

I don't know if the OP is still here and collecting. But I just have to say that this thread is amazing!

I also love small sized crt tv for irrational reasons off course and kinda collecting for unkown reasons.

Here is m Bang & Olufson MX 1500. 14inch. Late eighties.
