Shmup cosplay

Some of their hair could use some work, but overall pretty cool :) I'm slightly disappointed the Mushihime cosplay is only Aki, though ;)

This link was posted a while ago. I'm pretty sure it's a well-known site. You gotta wonder if these people get bored on Halloween.

What games are they supposed to be from?

They look pretty good.

By the way, I searched through all the JPN links, but I could not find any on Mushihime sama.

The upperleft image would be Kosame from Guwange. The other 3 are of the characters from DDP:DOJ (mainly Shotia).

Pretty nice cosplay. ^.^ Though a tad under-detailed, particularly in the EspGaluda section. (most notable points: Ageha's laces, Tateha (Male)'s metal arm covers, and a few others appear to be missing from some otherwise great costumes.)

I'll be cosplaying as Ageha this upcoming fall, and spring 2007 at Anime Central. Not to brag, but.. I think my Ageha vest will turn out better than the one pictured. :? Which kinda disappoints me, since I've gotten accustomed to being outdone by Japanese cosplayers... the EspGaluda section really doesn't give me much to look up to. :(

Otherwise, great costumes... The DDP DOJ girls are definitely top-notch.

Also, I will have the wings. And they shall be huge like Xbox.

best cosplay i've ever seen was 2 americans going as Vash the stampede and that preacher guy (played by "vash's" girlfriend). their costumes were perfect.
I have no sig whatsoever.

Heh, yeah, I agree, cuz like... all those characters are actually real and existed at some point in time... Why aren't they spending money on looking like their favorite movie or music idols, anyway? Shameful.

Seriously though.. I guess you must have *really* hated the Lord of the Rings movies? :P That was all merely expensive cosplay. To me, human realization of an incredibly fantastic and exaggerated character is incredibly cool. The character becomes many times more alluring (yes, even if they're *not* asian, lol) and believable. The whole thing is just... so endearing. A "common person" becoming something larger than life, in a small way. Makes you realize how boring movie stars are, as far as eye candy goes.

Of course, if you ever embark on a cosplay project, PUT SOME EFFORT INTO IT :P Digital photos can't be taken back...

p.s. Seen that site before, most of those are rather good... and niche, which is nice...

Cosplay actually requires some form of creativity and skill with regards to making the actual costumes, and a bit of courage and daring wearing the things. Dressing up like a movie star involves saving up for that ridiculously expensive Armani suit that they wore to that thing where all the movie stars go, where they get up on stage and cry a lot when they are given a fake gold bloke on a pedestal.

Although I don't personally partake in cosplay, I quite like it. The better costumes at least. As long as the cosplayer is cute. ^_-

The Progear costumes are great! I especially like the gal who is dressed up as Rivet.

And man are those DOJ cos-girls ever hot. :D

The sad thing is that since Kiken got me Niigi Gorgeous Blue for Christmas, I'm looking at her and analyzing what it would take to compose her outfit

I don't look quite androgynous enough, though :)

I love cosplay and the people brave enough to publicly wear their creations. I really enjoyed the TGS cosplay section on the Edge DVD a while ago. The Digital Devil Saga quartet walking around the show looked especially awesome.
