Problems with file and HD, can someone help me?

I am asking for help everywhere, so I just thought I could try it here too.

I've downloaded a file from emule, it's a .rar file with 2.06 gb of size.

Problem is, it looks like the file was stored in a part of HD with physical problems.... so when I try to unrar the file, it just fails at 81%

Emule can't finish "hashing" the file, because it can't read a part of it.

I renamed the 001.part file to blabla.rar , and it worked (I've had done this before). Problem is that when I try to unrar the file, it fails at 81%.

It also seems I can't delete the file, as windows says he can't read from the device.

I really do NOT want to lost this file (It took me 5 days to download it, keeping the PC on 24 hours per day). Anyone has any suggestions to what can be done here?

Doesn't Winrar have a repair feature?

copy it to cd and un-rar it on another pc. Or make a copy of the file on another directory.

I can't copy it anywhere, as I can't read the file

Any attempt of copying gives a "Can't read from the device" error.

Run diskdoctor.
If you're lucky you'll end up with what you want but I give you very little chance.

Yes , I just gave up. I managed to delete the file, I ran scandisk with a surface test and everything, and now I am downloading it again... (ooohh long wait ...

)
