Blue backing on raiden 3 disc

I picked up raiden 3 and saw it had a blue backing. Is it normal?

Didn't CD-based PS2 games have that blue backing?

I know my copy Psyvariar has it.

yes, all CD-based PS2 games.

ps1 cd=black backing, if it's legit. some pirate discs have normal.
ps2 cd=blue backing. even many of the unofficial stuff has blue backing,
ps2 dvd=looks normal, along with pretty much everything else.

My PAL copy of Strikers 1945 1 and 2 are CD. But it is not blue. That's odd...

I looked up the game on ebay to see pictures of other copies. They are blue. Are my copy fake? It works fine on my non modified PS2.

Ocean Commander is silver as well, so yes, there are a few exceptions.

But the one thing I'm confused about is that it says DVD rom on the game case instead of compact disc.

They even display as a blue disc in the PS2 browser.

Some of the later print versions of Square Enix PS1 games are Silver rather than Black.

Don't forget about the DL DVD PS2 games which are more of a brownish silver.
