More baffling than annoying, but I was playing Destiny with a friend of mine who was complaining about its lack of story. I said 'who cares?', and his response was 'what's the point in even playing the game then?'. Just lol.

Now for something that does annoy me: getting disconnected in the middle of a mission boots you back to orbit and causes you to lose all progress.

Easy - it was fucking stupid, and ended as it started, with vaguely offensive and eventually nsfw gif trolling. Somewhere in the middle was a futile attempt at turning it into something useful, but it reverted to its previous form before I locked it. If you want to go trawl tumblr and post 'haha look at this person' images, do that. Shmups forum is not tumblr. It is not Reddit or 4chan. Those are the places for retarded gif spam. I also closed some other threads here and there which were stupid.

FYI a few people already thanked me for closing it, seriously considering declaring shmups a sjw-free zone so people have a haven from this idiocy.

Jesus. I didn't think it was that bad. We were having fun with it.

It wasn't promoting SJWs, and there were several instances where related discussions occurred, and likely more to come.

Idiocy it was, but also a marvel to observe. Like one of those cool experiments in the science museum.

I definitely didn't think it was turning shmups.org into tumblr, but oh well it's gone now. Our ball's gone over the fence and we're not getting it back.

I wasn't 'essentially mocking people's sexuality ideas', nor gif spamming.

I was mocking the absolute creme de la creme of human insanity frozen on the eternal web. The details are unimportant, the delivery was where the humour reached its zenith.

Yup, feel that. At my new place, i didnt really know what i would be doing until after my first day at work. well atleast the salary is good enough, and it will look good on my resume, even though the work is shit.

Believe me, I had far darker thoughts when I went from part-time to full-time at my current job, only to find on my next paycheck that in exchange for receiving (not-so-great) health benefits my take-home pay (already a ways below a minimal living wage) was slashed by nearly a third, and nobody had bothered to inform me of this fact before then. But of course all I ever hear when I complain about this and myriad other abuses (both at work and elsewhere) is "you should be grateful just to have a job." And then the dark thoughts return with a vengeance.

Unfortunately I can only see labor losing even more ground to the whims of management as time goes on, the way things are progressing (or failing to) these days, in this particular neck of the woods (not sure how it is in your neighborhood); any hirer who says the recession has been hard on him is a filthy liar, because now they get to demand even more concessions from their employees (which they themselves, of course, are exempt from), and they are absolutely loving it. Until the USA finally gets over its collective and utterly indiscriminate worship of the rich the vast majority of people will find themselves marching, step by step, back down the road to the plutocracy's ultimate endgame of de facto slavery.
