Excellent work guys! There's some fantastic high-res scans on there. It's gonna cost me a fortune in poster printing. Whoever did the scan of the ketsui marquee did an excellent job stitching it together in photoshop.

Let's have some more ultra hi-res scans of flyers and posters. The higher to res the bigger we can print them. Some arcade poster scans would be excellent.

thanks!

I have just submitted an order to http://www.posterxxl.com for a 50x70 poster size print of the Ibara flyer. They do a free 40x30 print if you use this link: http://www.posterxxl.com/cgi-bin/xxl.cg ... uk12133650 but you have to pay for postage.

If they print it without moaning about me not being the cop*right owner I'll let everyone know how it compares to my original posters.
total cost was about £13 inc delivery to the UK.

I got a ibara flyer blown up to 70cm by 50cm (I think) using Posterxxl.com and it's not bad at all for £16 or so. It would be great if we could have some 200dpi scans of the ibara posters - but int he mean time the flyer blows up OK. From a few feet away you can;t tell it's not meant to be that big.

Is this server still online ? I've made a few tries since you first posted, but all clients (now using leechFTP) get stuck on "getting directory list" and eventually time out :(

I had that too at first with filezilla but then I ensured passive mode was on and it worked ok. I guess passive mode means use only 1 connection ?!?

JigsawMan, wow this sounds great. I think I might have a look tonight. Not wanting to be just a leecher I would like to return the favour. I have a number of high-res booklets of PC-Engine games if you're interested?

JigsawMan: Okay that's excellent! :) I'll also see if there are any scans that could do bit a bit of an up-rez and clean-up. I work with PhotoShop (amongst other 2D & 3D tools) here at work all day and know it like the back of my hand, so that won't be a problem. :) Any particular candidates that come to mind? I'm thinking the Mushi and Ibara ones?

Jigsawman: I tried several times to upload some PC-Engine material but the transfer always fails without having uploaded anything. It creates nothing but zero byte files.
Downloading works fine however. Do you have any suggestions? Firewall allows all outbound traffic, so that can't be it. Puzzled here. :?

hmmm... make sure you have PASV (passive) mode enabled. Try a client like flashfxp (www.flashfxp.com) as I know that works a treat.

As I said in the thread with the Batrider poster scan/auction I seriously wish someone would just start making high quality photocopies of these posters and distribute them. Nobody should pay hundreds of dollars for a piece of paper that is taped up on a wall. :x

nope - it's all up and running. it's rate limited to 2Mb/s during the day (UK time) but it should be 5Mb/s after 8pm - 6am ish. There's only 5 logins allowed so you may have to wait a while and then try again.

I know this topic is over a year old, but I'm wondering if the server is still up. I tried with Flashfxp with no luck. Thanks to anyone who can give me an answer.
What are you trying to tell me, that I can dodge bullets?

I'm going to bump this.

I remember downloading some of these files a long time ago from various websites. The list in this thread is huge. I was wondering if anyone can upload/host these files again. Maybe make a torrent out of it.
(I'd be willing to seed the torrent for as long as possible) I would hreally like some of the flyers in this list. My dorm needs more posters. Thanks.
