Meet R-Type Dimensions played on my Playstation 3. Released in 2009 for Xbox 360 and 2014 for Playstation 3, the highlight of this compilation that gathers the classic shmups R-Type I (1987) and R-Type II (1989) is the possibility to change at any time (at the touch of a button) between the original retro visual + soundtrack and the new entire look in HD accompanied by a modernized soundtrack both developed exclusively for this collection. Other new features are a "crazy camera" mode that changes the angle of vision, conveying a sense of three dimensions, widescreen support, 2 player in co-op play and the new infinity mode (infinite lives). Sorry I'm late in seeing this, but non-E ceilings I predicted something around 1.2B and E ceiling being around 1.4B. It's really hard to say since this assumes you A rank both TLBs, get TLB1 down PERFECTLY and get the big A medals even on the TTLB and have a truly perfect run, something that is insanely hard that I have not done yet.

Considering you recorded it on a phone, the quality's really good and watchable. The only really issue is DAT SHAKE; next time, use a fixed stand in front of the TV (put a pile of books or something and lean the phone against it) and it'll be even better.

Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely try something like that next time I record.

On a positive note, Youtube's stabilisation feature has improved the vid considerably. It's now less of a shaky cam and more of a gentle sway cam.

I got around to figuring out how to record and upload videos, which took the entire weekend to figure out. Still need to work on how I should edit them.

I managed to get a second 1-All in EX -Extra- earlier today. Here is the playlist since the recording was done in 3 parts.

Mostly did this to see how successful I can record a run with ffmpeg. I had to rely on tools youtube had available to cut out the parts where I was trying to reposition the window while recording (which is evident in part 2, but I don't think its significantly noticeable).

Was feeling bored today and wanted to test recording composite footage through my Elgato Game Capture HD (I wasn't aware it was capable of it until today). While I was at it I recorded a bunch of Genesis/Mega Drive shmup footage and compiled them into a single video. I believe there are 13 games on display here, ranging from stuff like Undead Line, to Gleylancer, to MUSHA, Lightening Force, Hellfire, etc.

Watching this, I don't know how the f**k I managed to 2nd loop clear all on the original V-V version which you have no bomb but a shield option. Can't remember my final score but it was around 50-60million as I collected all gems both loops.

Cuphead E3 2014 trailer if anyone forgot about this game. I just remembered it. I'm really impressed with the gameplay and art style. It's like Crumb comics meets Disney meets Gunstar Heroes.

Managed to pull off a counterstop in Score Soldier Winter Festival 2004. The run isn't all that different from tinotormed's except I was killing myself more to set myself up for the next stages. I'm not sure if it was due to the amount of items dropped upon death or because I was recording, but I lagged the game to the point there is a 6 minute gap between video length and the game's timer.

Other than that, I've recently decided to play through Fairies of Sorcery (danmakufu script). Managed to figure out some of the scoring tricks in script 1.20a.
