Pexhdcap capture card cable pinout?
Is there a pinout available for the connector that is normally used for the component cable adapter?

I just tested it with a multimeter continuity check.
Pb = Blue
Pr = Red
Y = Green
R = Right Audio (Red)
L = Left Audio (White)
G = Ground
The outer shield is connected to both ground pins.
Edit: That is on the male side of the adapter. If you're looking at the female side you have to flip it.
Btw, if you need a replacement you can buy one from Elgato. They are probably also available from other sources.
Code: Select all
------
G R L G
Pb Pr Y
Pr = Red
Y = Green
R = Right Audio (Red)
L = Left Audio (White)
G = Ground
The outer shield is connected to both ground pins.

Thanks, I'm actually more curious if Y can act as G for RGB so I don't have to use the VGA if I want to do straight RGB to the PEXHDCAP. Will just have to make a cable for it I guess.

How would you connect the sync? Even if there was no problem with sync, I doubt that the driver could accept RGB on the component input.

Ah right, I just noticed there was no sync line. Thanks for the pinout!
