Same Same Same! 1 player rom question

Post by exidy »

Im going to convert my 2 player Fire Shark to a 1 player (Same Same Same!).
Wondering if someone can tell me what types of roms are being used on a Same Same Same at Rom locations 9-12.

im assuming 9 and 10 are 27256
and 11 and 12 are TC571001D?

thanks in advance,

You should be able to read those roms as 27C010 and check them vs. the mame dumps.
Aka.. 27C1001 = 27C010

If I remember right, the TC571001 is equivalent to 27C301/27C1000 non-jedec.

Get ready for an ass-kicking, in a good way :P .

Yes, 27C301 is what you want to use to replace those chips with the non-JEDEC/mask rom pinouts.
I also converted my 2P version to the 1P version.

ok, so I tried both 27C1001 & 27C010 and neither worked. So I ordered some original TC571001D's and it worked fine.
