There was an air hockey game for Nintendo's failed E-Reader add-on that was only ever released as a promotional freebie in stores. You didn't have to buy the accessory, they had piles of the cards sitting openly in store displays that anyone could take.

There was also a Kirby slide puzzle on a card that came with an issue of Nintendo Power.

There is the single stage demo of Bandai of America's PSX Macross VFX-2 on one of the U.S. OPM demo discs...sadly, BOA cancelled the MVFX-2 release for North America at the last minute despite it being completed/finished -- it was slated for an early 2001 release. However, Bandai of Japan decided to release the NTSC U/C PSX version of MVFX-2 as a prize for a contest with approximately 1,000 copies given away to lucky Japanese contest winners. The irony of it all...could Harmony Gold had a say in it being released or not? Hmmm.....

I had to break down and buy the JPN PSX version of MVFX-2 to see what the fuss/hype was about.

SCEA had a single stage demo of Metal Slug 1 on one of it's Playstation Underground demo discs (each PU set was released four times a year -- you never knew what you were going to get)...SCEA was thinking about bringing MS to the North American PSX marketbase but it never materialized (they were seriously considering it at the time). Agetech was wise/smart to pick up the exclusive rights to publish Metal Slug X for the NTSC U/C region PSX console later on, indeed.

On one of the U.S. Playstation Underground discs is a completed Yaroze game that plays like the classic SFC/SNES F-Zero game complete with built-in PSX memory card save functionality. Runs at a impressive & silky-smooth 60fps framerate as well. How cool is that?

Oh wow, that's pretty cool. Might have to track that down.

That was OPM demo disc 23, along with Jade Cocoon and others, yeah, played it and such, I was gonna mention that Macross game, but it seems you put in some more detail into it, well, that's some irony there, oh well. >_>

Does this Yaroze game support any analog control? dual analog or negcon?
If so I will track it down. Looks like alot of fun and 60fps is always incredible.

I'm not sure if support for Dual Shock or NeGcon controllers is possible considering that it's a Yaroze racing game...I was using one of those original digital PSX gamepads that came with the PSX back in 1995-1997 to play it. Works like a charm after all these years. I did manage to e-mail the guy whom made that cool Hover Racing Yaroze game back in 2000 -- he said that was his first time making such a Yaroze game (it seems quite polished for what it's capable of doing, in retrospect).

I just played the original and the 1.2 version.

Hover racer is a pretty cool racing game with some unique mechanics.
Music is great. Could've been a full priced game. Loving it.
It has no analog control, but arguably something better.
The L1, L2, R1, R2 buttons are used to ignite 4 side boosters. 2 on the front sides and 2 on the back sides. This gives a lot of control but takes some getting some getting used to. If you like any f-zero game, give this a shot.

@PC Engine Fan X!, what other games did this guy make? and was their ever a newer version released like 1.3?

I just managed to grab a deal from eBay that had PS Undergrounds 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4 for a whooping $9. One of 'em has Hover Racing.

Sounds like the exact game Classic Controller Pro hasn't gotten... yet.
