That would actually save me the hassle of juggling another login...

That definitely has its downsides, of course; there's no denying that Google is just relying on the power of being the One True Logon to smother all the niceties that sacrifices.

I'm not sure whether the Google+ feed of random comments to old YT vids is good or bad. So far, no trolls have found me through it, which is good, but it's nearly 50-50 unimportant responses/totally useless responses to old comments.

The G+/YouTube comments integration bugs me in the reverse - its impossible to hide the comments others have made from your G+ feed.

That's really funny. Though I sorta feel bad seeing it personified as a small child.

Content ID blocking and Google+ are the worst things ever to happen to YouTube. I wouldn't wish them on any other healthy, functioning site.

I think this is good? I feel like Amazon is less likely to implement draconian copyright policies than Google.

Why in the flying fudge did they have to steal my name!!!??? Of all fucking names to adopt/steal/borrow/take. I've been "Twitch" online and with Vodkatron before Google. Fucktards...I should sue them!

Sounds kinda cool though...Google paying me money!!!

I'm with Pretas on this. #socialjustice, dudes that like MLP, and people watching other people play video games online just makes me shake my head in disbelief.
the implication that these three things are at all comparable makes me shake my head in disbelief. you can bet people who appear to be championing all three are lacking in at least one.

also, there's a big difference between those idiots who stream some mumble call about shit they can't even begin to understand... and people like cosmo. make fun of the cosmo cult all you want, but speedrunning streams encourage others to play instead of watch.

and speaking of social justice:

Competitive gaming streams are cool because you can see pro players live and sometimes there's commentary, or they commentate on their game, or what they think about it. Good way to pick up some new tips/strategies.

Non-competitive "entertainer" gaming streams are a waste of fucking time, though.

Apparently Google backed off from the deal over concerns that they would violate anti-trust laws by owning two major video sites.

i bumped this just for you.

people like to stream themselves not playing games and talking with their friends about things they don't understand; replace mumble with the voice chat program of your choice (in that crowd, i hear of mumble more than skype).

you can't generalize like you have because there are completely different groups within "streaming". the people mentioned above are the real problem that people like you should be looking at when it comes to streaming; meanwhile, you should be praising the people who actually play games and get people to play them in the process (tons of new speedrunners come in just by watching a stream a few times or watching a marathon), regardless of the silly cult-like behavior you might see go on in chats (especially around the bigger runners like cosmo).

i will never understand what it is with people and specific words.

Specific words are how people communicate. They form this magical thing called language that is basically the cornerstone of humanity. (and dolphins too according to some studies) It is how humans make each other understood.

Going by this strain of logic, it could be said that using specific words makes you more human. If the reverse is true, then that means by posting the above absurdly non-specific sentence, you must not be human. Despatche is not human.
