I impulse bought a Zero Gunner kit without realizing it's not JAMMA. I can buy a Model 2 to JAMMA converter, but I've heard there can be issues with the power supply with this hardware.
I have a Sega Blast City and an Atomiswave SD.
Will it work in either of these cabs? They have all factory parts.

Re: Zero Gunner Compatibility question
Yes, Sega Model 2 setup requires a seperate PSU (power supply unit) to power it up. A Sun branded PSU works wonders from what I've read on the Net to power up Model 2 boards. The Sega Model 2 sound amp is another necessity...if it's cranked up too high, it'll be damaged to the "point of no return" as well (so the ideal solution is to slowly increase the volume pot until it's to your liking, otherwise, it'll be time to source another Model 2 sound amp again & not make the same mistake twice). Not to mention, making sure that the arcade monitor is set for 24.5kHz sync rate and not at 15kHz sync rate which is typical for such a Model 2 setup.
Still have a Sega Model 2 Virtual On board with a Model 2 to Jamma adapter + sound amp PCB and proper arcade-spec Virtual On twin sticks control panel for one of those "rainy day" projects. One of these days, I'll get it up & running. A Virtual On PCB setup does have built-in support for a four speaker + subwoofer setup for maximum audio impact/overall audio presentation. For two player VO sessions, a second VO PCB + a pair of Toslink cables are necessary for communications between the "main" PCB and the "slave"designated PCB, indeed. No Firewire or USB 2.0 cables required/necessary anyways.

I've heard about the PSU issues too but I've never experienced them.
Here are some pics of my setup:
