Are you kidding? They're so adroit at milking they're almost symphonic.
Their next collection will have a disc devoted to all of their mobile games.

I don't know why I thought the DLC disc was region-free though. Stupid of me.

Is it just me or are the DLCs from that disc a pain to install ? It's impossible to install all of them at once, I get that.
But I wish there was a detailed and translated list somewhere to help me understand what I'm doing.

Yeah, I tried to get it installed and I don't see all the things that were installed. I'm going to take some pictures so that someone on here can translate it.pestro87

Hahahaha well, it is still on the pipeline to get a NTSC-J 360. Hopefully by the end of the year.

Duh, wish I knew some Japanese to understand what I'm doing.

Did I properly install everything at least in the Games & Apps folder ?

(I wrote 'downloaded items' when I don't understand what it is)
AkaiKatana - 13MB
. downloaded items - 13MB

DEATHSMILES - 1.1GB
. downloaded items - 524MB
. downloaded items - 571MB
. downloaded items - 11MB

DEATHSMILES2X - 13MB
. downloaded items - 13MB

DODONPACHI DAIFUKKATSU - 255MB
. Black Label - 251MB
. ver 1.51 - 4MB

MUSHIHIMESAMA - 26MB
. ver 1.5 - 26MB

MutiMuti Pink - 13MB
. downloaded items - 13MB

Mushihimesama Futari - 265MB
. ver 1.01 - 56KB
. downloaded items - 265MB
Some of those seem quite small, like the supposed AK voice pack, Futari 1.01, and MMP Matsuri stuff.

A lot of cave dlc are just unlock codes (particularly preorder stuff) because they're actually on disc.

I would actually be interested in a collection of their pre-smartphone mobile games, to see heavily scaled-down versions of DDP and other titles. Does any video footage of these games exist?

You should take pics of each DLC's description, one by one.

Thanks! I still don't have DDP V1.51 when I go to the game though, I wonder why? I read that some people are installing some at a time for it to work, if this is true, how many at a time should you install?

I'd say install one by one.

Also I've read clearing the system cache might help.

I thought the official word was that with the dlc disc that comes w/ the collection, you can install up to 7 installs/items at a time, whereas the disc M$soft sent, you can install them all at once, no?

Has someone recently contacted Nin Nin games?
http://www.nin-nin-game.com/en/

Please let me explain very short, need some help here.
I ordered the CAVE Shooting Collection Kan X360 collection near the beginning of april 2014, the amount is 265,95 euro using Amazon France Shipping, which they sent me a confirmation mail that they have sent out on 26th may, later on they cancelled it(18th june), and promised to refund my money thru email.

Message June 18th 2014:
Hello,

We canceled your order because this product is out of stock.
Our suplier can't found others.

There was a lot of preorder for this product. A part of our order was canceled :(

The shipping notification was an error.

We refund you soon,

Really sorry for this trouble.

Best Regards

I payed with paypal(creditcard) on 8th april for the pre-order. On 20th June they sent me an email stating since it was 2 months ago they couldn't refund through paypal, but if it was possible with bank wire transfer. I emailed back saying it's ok.
Sent them my bank details. Later on they asked to sent me a print screen(creditcard) the conversion from Yen to Euro. The Last email they sent me was July 4th ( after a few emails back and forth from them), i have tried to email them numerous times, but they haven't replied back as of now.

I tried emailing through their website(have a account), Nin-Nin-Game Support <n2g.customer@gmail.com> and Customer Service <nin.nin.game@gmail.com>. I haven't gotten any response, and am really getting desperate. Been googling and reading at shmups.system11.org - CAVE Shooting Collection Kan X360 topic, that people had the same problem, that Nin-nin games cancelled their order, but did still refund their money in the end.
I'm hoping that Nin-nin games is not running away with the money i payed for the pre-order, that someone here can help me out, thanks!

regards,
Dung

How do you know if the DLC has been installed correctly? Is there a permanent image that appears in your "Games" to let you know it's there?

Just go straight to your 360 system settings, the go to memory, and then check the Games/Apps, Themes, and Gamerpics to see if all your content from the DLC/Update disk installed properly.

Sorry for the necro but I wanted to share my experience: two days ago I was finally able to use my new NTSC-J X360 and this collection was the very first thing that I popped on the console. All the games worked fine but the replacement disc Microsoft Japan sent out still has the bug where you can install only 7 items at any given time. I can assume it is the correct replacement disc since it includes the extra Akai Katana themes and Mushihimesama Futari gamer pics mentioned in the official website. Overall I would say it was great value. Mushihimesama HD alone made it worth it to get the NTSC-J Xbox. I'm set forever now with all these Cave shmups to play. :)

No.. :(

They brought out those terrible "E" models right before the XBONE hit. The old "S" models have actually gone up in price, as they seem to be more desirable to some.

Waitwaitwaitwaitwaitwaitwaitwait... Isn't the E model supposedly to be "better" than the S one? You know, because of the reduced noice and higher HDD capacity? :|
Anyway, how much are we talking about?

The latest model I bought from rancor in June is disappointing in that it doesn't have component inputs. So you either play on an HDTV via HDMI or on a CRT via composite (correct?).

IIRC the 360's component uses the same output jack as the component, it's just a different cable that plugs into it.

They removed the multi-out on the E-model as well as the optical audio output port. They put in a 1/8" jack that requires you to purchase a separate break-out cable for component output. They retained the HDMI output port. There is also one less USB port (4, down from 5 in the s-model).
