OCD- I need help remembering the names of several things
So lately, I've been having OCD filled nights and days trying to remember the names of several different things, and I was wondering if anyone here could help me out. The things I need help remembering might come across as random, so no I am NOT on drugs! Here is the list of things:
1. I'm trying to remember the name of an arcade racing game, one in which the police pursue you, and your car can be wrecked and just lay there until time runs out. I also believe you can only see the dashboard POV, and you can't switch it. It looked like it could be from around the late 90s.
2. Another arcade game, where you control a train through crazy looking tracks, and I can't recall, but you might have been able to run people over.
3. A song I recently listened to on YouTube. I regret not saving it to my YouTube history as I was not signed in. It was a metalcore song, and the band's name either had something to do with machines or giants, and the art was dark purple on black. The first 14-ish seconds of the song had a slight electronic vibe, similar to a sad piece of shmup music almost.
4. An anime about a bunch of dogs that I saw a few times on a Spanish language TV channel in the mid-2000s, I think one of the characters was a bulldog who always caused trouble for the main character. The main character dog would sometimes look up at the moon and imagine the face of his love interest, a female dog. The character design if I recall was rather large heads and smaller bodies with big eyes as well.
5. The name of a band with a female lead singer, I believe either Scottish or Irish? They play rock music, kind of similar to a less heavy version of Evanescence. Might be from the late 90s-2000s?
6. A music album that was purely instrumental, this was 10 years ago that I heard it. It seemed to have a heavy influence of Native American flutes, etc. as well as a dark, epic sound to it.
7. An educational TV show that was on KCET or PBS which featured a flying pencil with a creepy looking face and real world backgrounds. The closing song would include the words: "Goodbye from pencil power." I tried looking up pencil power, but apparently there was never a show called that
If anyone can help me identify any of these, I'll greatly appreciate it!

Hmm sounds like it could be, but the band I'm looking for had a more pop-influenced sound.Blinge wrote:5: Within Temptation?

Thanks but it wasn't a simulator type game, more like "the laws of physics don't apply" kind of gameJonst wrote:Arcade train: densha de go? Or something like that...it's the only one I know but I think there are some rip offs of it as well,so check those out too.

Glad to be of service. Love that game, used to play it in the arcade all the time. Hydraulic seat BTW.

The Gathering? They are dutch, though.Furry Fox Jet Pilot wrote:Hmm sounds like it could be, but the band I'm looking for had a more pop-influenced sound.Blinge wrote:5: Within Temptation?
Or maybe Lacuna Coil? (Italian I believe.)

That was meant to be "FTW".
Are you sure 1 isn't Lucky & Wild? Got the dashboard POV only, and you're the cops far as I remember. I don't remember the timeout thing so it's a bit of a long shot.

Yes! That's it! Thank you. Also it's interesting to know that Sonic the Hedgehog made his first video game appearance in this game.Ruldra wrote:1: Rad Mobile?

born of osiris uses synths and they have a song titled machine.Furry Fox Jet Pilot wrote: 3. A song I recently listened to on YouTube. that would be really cool if this is it, because one of my best friends that I used to play in a band with was roommates with the bassist in college

the dillinger escape plan - setting fire to sleeping giants
cd is miss machine
cd cover art color scheme sounds a lot like the faceless - planetary duality though and the do have a synth on different tracks, but I couldn't find anything related to a machine or giants.
Spoiler

Thanks for looking, but it's definitely not Born of Osiris, Dillinger Escape Plan, or the Faceless. The band I'm looking for wasn't anywhere as heavy as the Faceless or Born of Osiris, or in the style of Dillinger Escape Plan. I believe it was a fairly new song, either from this year or last, and it had clean vocals too, more towards the style of what you'd call generic metalcore bands these days.Some-Mist wrote:born of osiris uses synths and they have a song titled machine.Furry Fox Jet Pilot wrote: 3. I'm probably not going to know who it is then... but I did do a quick google search and found this:Furry Fox Jet Pilot wrote: Thanks for looking, but it's definitely not Born of Osiris, Dillinger Escape Plan, or the Faceless.
