I still find it absolutely incredible that the developers had a 2nd chance with this game and *still* did nothing with the concept of the bullet souls! Why name the game after something in the game that is purely cosmetic?

Bought the LE today used, it was pristine, looks like it was barely played. But I've got this weird problem with it, the game keeps getting stuck at the between stage load screens. Seems like a bug rather than a disc read error. Has anyone else encountered anything like this?

Also quick first impression: fuck that burst meter seriously! Who the fuck thought having that massive thing obscure half the goddam screen in a bullet hell was a good idea!? Otherwise what little I've seen when it decides to work is better than the first game. It's more different than I expected.

I've put about 10 hours into it and never had that issue. It's kind of boring though. I don't know if I'm going to go back to it anytime soon.

I had an issue when I first got the game of a stage not loading right at the beginning. I've since installed the game to the HDD and haven't had any similar problems.

Thanks for that advice, I'll give it a shot

Edit: Decided to give it a go on my lunch break without installing it because I didn't have enough time. Having a great run with Officer Garterbelt and the game decides to crash loading up the final fucking stage... God damn it...

I've actually really enjoyed the game so far sure its not the most complex of bullet hell shooters but its a relatively nice intro to the genre for newcomers. My wife likes it and has previously been put off by others (except Deathsmiles.... she loved Deathsmiles)

anyway for anyone interested I have done a playthrough of the first 2 levels with some thoughts if people are still unsure whether to buy or not (it is aimed at people who do not really know the genre well)

Yeah after my 48 hours of owning it I'm giving it the thumbs up. Well, Burst mode in any case. It's very easy though; I cleared it last night. But easy doesn't necessarily make it bad as long as it's fun. It's pretty exciting to play and you are always engaged with it if you are trying to keep your medal chain going. The problem with Vanilla Bullet Soul wasn't the difficulty imo, it was that the game was mind numbingly boring. The bullet canceling and no medals made it to where you were just lazing around passively most of the time, where in burst you are constantly picking up the medals and occasionally forcing yourself into dangerous situations to keep the chain going. For me at least, that small change totally saves the game. I saw potential in the first one despite not liking it, and that potential is what drove me to purchase Infinite Burst. I'm not disappointed in it at all.

Yeah,I really enjoyed it,burst mode (despite clearing it on second attempt!) still made me feel good though.It's like a super tame dangun feveron.

Nice spotting but where are you getting that date from? Last time you spotted Bullet Soul on the Xbox 360 Marketplace on August 23 and it finally released on September 16. If that pattern repeats itself we are looking at November 4.

Well, I hope they don't delay IB that they did the vanilla version, but I have my doubts, but just hope it comes around on time, and hope they'll price it the same ($15 or regional equivalent...)

Will most likely be $20 which I'm ok with. Even $25 would be fine.

Well, guys, the bad news, it's not coming today either on said date of 10/28, lol.

The good news is however is Sakari from 5PB mentioned a tweet (https://twitter.com/OtherGuyX/status/791423482206625792) a while back that Infinite Burst is coming on 11/1. Also the same price as the vanilla release, $15. That's really a good price considering how much IB physically goes to about $50 and up on Auction and/or specialty shops.

Though yes, there's also a stackable achievement list for Infinite Burst with one less ach. like the vanilla English version.

IIRC in Bullet Soul, its the 2-ALL no continues, which is tough in itself in the original JP version, even in Version B, since you have to be lucky to dodge mostly of the TFB's patterns.

In Infinite Burst however, its for earning all achievements, sort of like getting a Platinum Trophy in PS3/4/Vita games. Though they could have kept that in, but oh well.

Both are 0 point achs in the JP versions on their disk/digital releases.

hey shooters

i live in the uk and interested in buying these 2 bullet souls game, if i create a us account, would i be able to play these on my pal 360, as i know some download games are region locked or is there a chance they will come out over here eventually.

The JP disc versions are region free.

Given Caladrius and Shooting Love got a UK digital release, I'd be surprised if this didn't make it here eventually. But worst case is the original disc versions will work.

Yeah, from what I've read so far, no EU/PAL digital releases for both Bullet Soul games aren't happening. I've been given the response by Lifelower on Twitter that the developer has no plans in bringing them there...sad.

Though yes, you can get the JP disk versions of both games, and they'll still run fine on your console considering they're both region free. The only thing that'll suck for those in EU not getting them is just English translations and stackable achievement lists. Also, I doubt you can just get the digital versions over the NA Xbox Store, but yeah, then again, there's the possibility of IP/Region locks due to digital "Games on Demand" having that sort of system in place.

With a bit of luck they'll both be added to the backwards compatible list and then they'll have their own UK/Euro entries on the Xbox One store.

Not yet, but that's what they're planning for with both digital releases of BS and IB. Give it time.

Anyways, already done, got the 1K, onto the next game in backlog, lol. (But yeah, IB is way different than the original, besides being a remix with different stuff, lol.)

so when they are finally backward compatible with xbox one, i should be able to buy them via the us store surely via xbox one and its more open then the xbox 360 is, also would the disc versions work, i do have them somewhere, just need to locate the xbox 360 shooters box, just moved house and boxes all over the place

I can confirm that it is only region-locked for Europe because it works on my NTSC-J console and I bought the game with my US account.

Would be cool if they put it up on the EU marketplace too, because I want it for my NTSC-J console, but I'm not gonna make a US account and use tunneling just for this game.

In order to unlock Musou mode you have to 1cc the game?
