I know this thread is 4 years old but maybe somebody might be able to help me. I can't get the game to display in tate at all. When I go the options down the bottom, I've highlighted both tate and yoko and pressed all the buttons on both a Wii remote and a GC controller and nothing is happening. I'm running the game on a softmodded PAL Wii and I've tried running it from both the retail disc through Gecko and off a HDD with GX. The game works fine, just no tate. Does anyone have any idea what's happening here?

It might sound like a patroninzing question but have you tried playing one of the games after selecting the option in the main menu?
I also play this compilation on a softmodded PAL Wii and as far as I know, the main menu with the list of games never rotates. It is only after you boot Radirgy, Karous or Illvelo that you get a TATE'd image. And if I remember well, they mixed up YOKO and TATE, so in order to get TATE, you'll have to select the YOKO option. The same mistake happens in Illvelo Still (on the Radirgy Noa Wii disc).

Also, if you plug a GC controller, the inputs from the Wii controller are dropped. Maybe you can still use the Home button but I think you'll have to unplug the GC controller to play with the remote or CC (Pro).

I did try playing them but only after TATE selected. I selected YOKO and it worked. Thanks for you help.
