Dodonpachi Saidaioujou Regular Edition vs "Regular Edition"

Post by waiwainl »

Hello,

I have bought Dodonpachi Saidaioujou Regular Edition (XBOX360) via Ebay.
Once received, the cover image did not look as I would have expected. What I received is:

What I expected is:

The seller claims: "We are sorry for the item's photo was sample photos manufacturer has prepared."

Is that true? All over the internet the bottom picture is used to denote the 'Regular Edition'. The above one usually for the 'Platinum edition'.
Does anybody actually have the Regular Edition? And what does your cover look like, top or bottom picture?

Thanks!

Yes, but that is not the point :D
I have more versions of the same game as well - I like it so much, I would like to have all the distributed versions (from Platinum to Limited).

Hence my question; does the bottom cover even exist?

Make sure you get the real version, a full kit.

The bottom version of the cover looks like a pre-release cover: the CERO rating for the bottom cover doesn't have a letter grade so it's probably saying a rating is pending or something along those lines. It would make sense that a retailer would just use a prerelease version of the cover art if it was the first thing they saw.

Of course I can't actually read Japanese, so this is just a guess.

Does that include the version from the Collection KAN? Since it has its own separated case.

Hmm, that is a good point you make there. Can't read Japanese either

Anybody who can ready the Japanese part in the CERO box from the bottom picture?

It's really just the rating pending version.

What you got is the regular edition (see: existing version). I think you'll be fine.

Dude, the bottom one is pre release mock art. It doesn't exist. Thread over.

If it did exist and you wanted to buy it additionally I'd question your sanity - it's near identical.

For SDOJ just get the Super LE and you're done. Cave port values drop through the floor these days, no point in having a regular ver. in addition to the LE.
