Credits are nice. you can use them to try again if you thought you could do better, and you can also horde them to force a game once they add up enough

I personally think the PC autofire in MM in shmupmame (It's a hack btw) is poorly implemented, and usually is not a good call. lol. It's way nicer in the DC version. Nice job making it past st2 boss on your first try though. not badNwodatek wrote: Wasted my time learning how the controls works on Stage 1, only to realize later that the Button 2 auto-fires the cannon thing.

Why is poorly implemented? Seemed like a better choice at the moment.LordHypnos wrote: I personally think the PC autofire in MM in shmupmame (It's a hack btw) is poorly implemented, and usually is not a good call. lol. The issue, IMHO, is that it's very important to be able to access the shield in a split second. The A button in shmupmame doesn't override the B button, so you can't switch quickly between PC and shield. In the DC version you get more lag to activate the shield when using autofire, but the main button overrides the PC auto, so it just feels a little smoother. Pretty much don't use auto piercing after the 4th stage or in most of the 3rd stage, for this reason, even in the DC version, and generally eschew it completely in MAME (though there are a few parts that I find significantly more difficult in MAME due to a lack of DC-style autofire, mostly in the 4th stage)Nwodatek wrote:
