It'd be really awesome if Cave would re-release these games + DLC for Xbox One in a single-disc collection priced at normal (import) prices. Or even better yet, a disc with all their old games that didn't see Xbox 360 release.

I'll keep dreaming, though.

Would all of it fit in a double layer Blu-ray disc? It would for sure fit in a triple layer one I think.

Easy fit on BluRay, most games are quite small actually. Most are below 500MB, some have more media (movies etc) and utilize up to 4GB, but that's just a handful.

But they won't do that ever. Better to sell the games separately - earns more :-)

I think I'll always be tempted by this because of the dvds and dlc disk, but it's awfully hard to justify when I own all the games.

Does the DLC disc actually contain the game patches?
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

There is Ketsui for PS3 although it was released by 5pb... The reasons why CAVE chose to go with microsoft were because of cheaper/easier to use development kits, greater monetary support from MS to them, a SONY statement about not supporting/liking 2D games development for a 7th gen console and other reasons I don't recall.

But then...this is not the thread to talk about that.

Is anyone still waiting on a replacement disc from Nin-Nin? I know some people in this thread said they got theirs, but every time I email them, they say they're still waiting on more discs from Microsoft.

I got the same reply last week. Oh well, I guess I just have to have the attitude that I am never going to get it but there is hope it might be a Christmas present. The set was a gift for someone in the first place.

Nin-Nin sucks. Never again.

Good news, NIN-NIN send out my package today, it looks like they're sending out the packages one by one as they get them.

Let's make a petition to make trap port CAVE games on steam.

Mine too! It actually arrived to my city but it's being "processed". Fingers crossed that everything arrived intact. Heads up: you all might see a thread pop up in the trading forums for a like 3 or 4 cave imports in the coming days.

I actually received my package today. It ended up being only the replacement disc, no trace of a box. Not the biggest issue ever but still goes to show how mediocre Nin-Nin as a retailer is.

There is a NY USPS location used for customs where packages can be seemingly stuck for a lot longer than 2 days.

Imagine the possible glory of the "Cave / Steam bugfix suggestions" thread where we all pined over aspect ratios, TATE, windows vs. full screen, etc. We could even fuss about how the assholes upscaled all the art to HD and it's jacking our ancient cabs up.

I think that if you seriously derive your enjoyment only from the fact that other people do not have what you have, then you're kind of an asshole and you deserve that.
Well said.

As for the first few pages of this thread, my take is that business is business, and it's clear what CAVE are doing. I do find their marketing strategy odd at times though - I don't understand why they don't have an unlimited qty people can purchase of this release.

I mean, if you're going to milk your customer base do it right :D

Hi Skykid, I absolutely agree with that, though I'm not sure why they would limit one sale per customer in this case.

In the grand scheme of things the 360 is on its last legs so why hold back?

I suspect flooding the market with this release wouldn't hurt future sales of compilations for the new gen consoles (assuming that they actually happen), and I'm sure you would agree that releasing Ibara and/or other titles would guarantee at least some level of success in the future.

Allowing unlimited purchases could even be a cheeky way for them to reach the western market with this package, while still working within whatever agreement they have in place with their offshore distributors :D
