Scart Switcher Box, which is the best.

Post by Beaps »

Anyone know which is the best one out their.

I am currently using one of these but I can just make out a signal from other scarts in different sockets.

Ideally I am looking for 100% pure on each switch.

I have a joytech js965 that i bought from ebay UK. it beats every other less expensive scart switch ive had in clarity and sharpness. it didnt cost much because it was used but the shipping was very high. the nice thing is that it has a remote with it.

Joytech also makes a 7 In 1 out component video switch that they sell in the us called the js965c. I have that one too.

Unless you really need to use SCART, as if perhaps you have a PAL television... I'd leave SCART behind, just mod your cables to VGA pinout and then there are any number of high quality VGA switches, powered or not that you can use. It's a bit of work for each console's cable, and you need to provision for sound, but SCART can just go away for all I care. If you were really lazy about it you could just make a dongle to VGA's pin set then call it a day.

I'd go Keene SCART commander if you can find it. Though the advice given above isn't exactly bad if you're handy with a soldering iron.

I like the Assembler Games developed switch, but it's a shame there's no manual override.

Bucko, do you plan to review the Assembler Games Scart switch on your site or what are your thoughts about it?

Do you happen to have any extra Keene Scart Commanders or do you know were I can find one besides ebay?

I actually have 2 KSC's sitting in my storage room at home that are brand new, just been too lazy to put up for sale. I'm in canada, I'll ship anywhere in north america, PM me if interested, I'd sell them for what I paid for them.
