Good Arcades in Tokyo?

My family are going on a trip to Tokyo in a few months' time, and it seems a pretty good opportunity to play some arcade games while I'm there, right?
I'm interested in both shmups and rhythm games (especially Sound Vortex and Pop'n Music), anyone have recommendations for where to go / anything else I should know?

Just go to Akihabara. There are about 7-8 good arcades there, and they'll have most anything you'd want to play.

HEY in Akihabara have all the good shooters. They also have music rhythm games like Beatmania IIDX 21 (maybe 22 now). I think I saw Sound Voltex there too.
