I usually find this amusing, for whatever reason, except in restaurants and transport. One time I went to a film and the staff let a woman with a baby go through. That should be entirely illegal. To be fair, though, it was the documentary "Babies" we were attending.

So, I'm at the mall, getting a drink from a vending machine.
The machine reads "accepts $1, $5, $10, $20 bills."
It also reads, "PAYS BACK IN $5s" in big bold letters.
Didn't feel like swiping my card (also, card skimmers), so I stick the $20 I usually keep on hand in the machine.
I purchase my drink...

and $18.50 worth of quarters pour out of the machine

I am immune to screaming and crying kids, but on the flipside, I absolutely can't stand parents who send their kids to school/camp ALL DAY with crap footwear: flipflops, crocs, dress shoes, cowboy/girl boots, those fucking sneakers with high heel platforms, tap dancing shoes WTF, strappy gladiator sandals that make their feet bleed.... URRGH!!! How does a parent not understand that these aren't appropriate for all day active wear.

Not packing a fork/spoon in their kids lunch also pisses me off. I can understand forgetting occasionally, but when you pack spaghetti and meatballs everyday for your kid doesn't it ever cross your mind that it isn't exactly finger food???

Haha that sucks.
Sort of a 'why bother with this feature' moment.

Getting sideswiped on my bicycle last weekend. A few messed up teeth but I will recover. Learning that my sister's neighbor across the street saw me laying on her driveway but didn't call 911 because they didn't want to get involved annoys me very much.

That's Chinese society in a nutshell.

Oh my god, tell me about. I didn't exactly oversleep, but I had a great sleep last night and I even napped a couple times by noon and I was yawning for hours! STFU I AM NOT TIRED!

In today`s environment, sending your kid to school with a fork carries a risk that they will be expelled for bringing a "weapon."

Try eating Spaghetti and meatballs with a Glock 22.

Maybe food should be banned, that way no one runs the risk of using peanuts and other highly allergic foods as chemical warfare.

Schools are all run by nutjobs who don't even have kids of their own and thus have even less of a clue what they're doing. As ridiculous as that sounds, nothing really surprises me anymore.

Most of the places I go to eat around my work don't accept debit card and the nearest ATM available is 15 minutes away. I'm to lazy to withdraw money :/

This doesn't bother me so much as it weirds me out: older women in their 50s dressing like they were still spry 17-year olds. Lady, cellulite and varicose veins are unsightly and vomit-inducing. Think of the children, dammit.

People in charge of recruitment who have no idea what the requirements for the job you're applying for are, ask you stupid, completely unrelated questions, and don't even take a minute to call you back and say 'sorry but we're not interested'.
I'm applying for a job, not a reality show. I don't want to speak to some just-out-of-puberty HR cunt who thinks she runs the company by herself, I want to talk to a pro.

You read everywhere companies are in despair because they can't find the proper profiles/persons for some specific vacant jobs.
You read nowhere they're dumb enough to miss 100 perfect candidates because they don't know shit about recruitment.

Fucking. Impolite. Dumbasses.

In case anyone was still unsure whether or not we've transitioned into a plutocracy...
Last week, the New York Department of Housing Preservation and Development approved a request by a swanky new condo on the Upper West Side to have a separate entrance in a back alley for its lower income residents (in New York City that means people with an annual income of $51,540 or less).

The front doors, meanwhile, will be reserved for wealthy tenants only.

Well, weren't gated communities somehow inspired by the same mentality already ?
I mean seeing it happening in the same building, with them actually living under the same 'roof' like masters and servants victorian-style makes it more obvious but...

To a large extent, certainly, but at least in a gated community one could use the excuse of desiring a greater deal of security or some such thing. In this case it's pure, distilled "we don't want to rub shoulders with the filthy riffraff" without even the flimsiest of fig leaves - every day it's more and more the norm to simply assert that anyone poorer than you must be, in every single facet, a worse person than you and deserving, in all areas, of worse treatment than you.

Man, just a dumbass kid. They're everywhere, doing equally ignorant shit. It's not their fault though: they're manufactured as morons, products of the world, shat out to join a production line. The world doesn't want the majority to have brains, or else who will work in McDonald's and clean urinals?

If you can imagine the path she took in life to reach an Auschwitz selfie - being young, being ignorant, failing history, prioritising celebrity and gossip, looking up to equally moronic friends as mentors, and being brain-blitzed by commercialism, it's really not that surprising. Hell, she's probably not even the first.

That was my second thought immediately after seeing all those coins pop out.

man, I remember the first time I remember seeing a mall without an arcade
I had no idea why a mall would exist without one. The thought never occurred to me.
