Just uploaded a fresh replay to the Live Leaderboard, its on the 3rd place, 2.697bil with no remain bonus. Grab it if you're interested.

Stage 3 has brief slowdown differences between the port and PCB, you can see in the mid-boss fight I died when I was trying to get close, that slowdown confused me -_-

Stage 4 was OK except a dumb death at boss. However 5, quite a disaster after the extend.

Day 2 with God mode (with 2 days of no play in between )

First two stages are just about down. Managed to get 348m out of stage 1, which I think is good enough to not risk more on that stage for now. I can get to the 1b on stage 2, assuming I don't screw up.

Decided to just give the game a credit or two to see how well I could do, made it to the stage 3 boss having never played it before!

WR is barely over 7 billion, so it's not going much higher than that.

It is possible to counterstop the game with 1 of the players in 2 player mode, but that obviously doesn't count since it's 2 player mode.

Yeah, I wasn't sure how optimized the WR is, with how many subtleties there are in the scoring system. Makes sense though, thanks for the reply.

Yes. The world record is a TLB clear. I'm sure it has been defeated many other times with Palm.

This should have been a 3.8 - 4 bil clear but my nerves couldn't take it I entered stage 4 with 2.2 bil but I messed up on quite a few cancels on stage 4 and 5 and lost lives in the processs. Hence the score and not getting the clear... I will keep working on this.

I've seen from my own eyes a Japanese player doing a 2 billions, and it was already madness to watch. It is actually always a lot more impressive to watch thing live from behind than just a video. On video it looks somehow always easier than it seems, while live this is where in fact you realize how hard are those games when you play it like you.
