micomsoft XCapture-1 Audio cracking and popping

this card used to work absolutely fine for about a month then it started giving me issues, so I returned it and they were kind enough to send me another unit but same problem exists, and they insist they sent a new unit and that the unit I sent back was in working condition so the problem has to be my end but I am out of ideas so I thought I would ask here. I am going to just say I have not tried anything yet as I would lke to get maybe a list of possible solutions or something and maybe something i have checked might be the source of the problem and re-looking at it might solve it. So does anyone have any possible solutions for this situation? (this happens with out outputs/inputs; HDMI, S-Video, composite etc. so I presume wires are fine)
