Glad I made you chuckle, but replace flawless with fair and you can't argue with that statement.

first hslf: mexico better for sure.
Second half after the 1:0 we finally started to play football...

Not convinced about it being a penalty... but glad we're through.
And player of the tournament so far.. Robben. Today I forgive him for not scoring in wc finale 2010.

Now if only Greece can lose later on i have good day

Netherlands was too much defensive at the beginning. But the refferee didn't give them a penalty kick in the 1st time.
2nd time Mexico was also too defensive :( they could win. Anyway gr8 match.

What a horrible ending, it's like every time that player gets into the box he's looking for opportunities to dive. Same last world cup too.

I had almost pissed my pants this time, great match Mexico - Netherlands.
I have to admit Mexico had the best of it in the first half, great goal too :!:

The penalty at the end should not be given, then again it was a sure penalty at the end of the first half.
I thought Mexico could have taken it, but they were very defensive the second half and that's when we finally started to create serious opportunities.

I just love this game :D

Those feels for that final penalty kick that Greece missed. I can't even begin to imagine how crappy it must feel to miss that. Knowing your whole nation was sitting there, Judging you. Dat pressure. Now that's a true TLB right there.

Catching up.

Holland stole it. They deserve to be out. Mexico didn't just play better in the first half, they were superior throughout.

Really gutted for the Mexicans, horrible defeat. Someone should punch that referee in the face and accept the 6 month ban.

Hey Marcosan30, do you dutch people get pissed off by the fact that almost everyone call (mistakenly) your country "Holland"?
A couple of days ago I watched this and since then I've changed that bad habit...

No , it was a penalty as he foot stomped him but Robben's over dramatic dive wasn't necessary .
Both teams should have has a penalty earlier, Robben was brought down clearly in the box by two players and Vlaar kicked a Mexican in the face in the box on the other side .
Gifs from all situations enhanced and in slomo can be found on GAF off topic forum .

When Holland went on the attack and changed their system from defence 5-3-2 to offence 4-3-3 Mexico team where confused and Herrera panicked, he offered his best striker for an extra defender which made it even harder to get away from the pressure, all Herrera wanted was to defend that meagre 1-0 advantage, that has cost them the game .

Is it just me or have the French spent 70 minutes fouling Nigerians?

They seem outclassed, it would be a shame for Nigeria to suffer defeat at this stage.

Edit: Oh well. I had a feeling that was going to happen. France piled on ten minutes of real pressure there.

Same. Feel really sorry for Nigeria. You can see they're absolutely knackered, they just allowed France too many opportunities. But it feels a little like France won for ten minutes work. No idea what they were doing the rest of the time bar trying to break everyone's ankles.

Almost every single match result for the entire tournament has been the opposite of what I wanted.

It's quite discouraging.

Hey, just wait for our butt to be handed down to us by Germany, as it deserves. Merkel is the best. Then you wont disappoint.

Also, sorry for already burying Algeria, I just so wish France to be kicked out by this way

It doesn't help when people see HOL on the score line.
It doesn't help either when our national own football anthem goes " Hup Holland Hup " and the supporters chant " Holland, Holland " .

LOL, you should make that name official then xD
In my local transmission we see "NED" on the score line though...

Anyway:

Algeria 2 - Germany 1
